What are you talking about? Hawaii gave the colb to young babies being brought into the state along with those born there. That is a matter of record. But to have a long form bc, it had to have the hospital and other info and the drs signature.

The birth certificate is not the original...it is a copy...not a forgery...a copy.

I have had to get copies for my kids and they are similar. The wacko's that made this shit up have focused on the "COLB" and that it is not a "Birth Certificate"...this is a bunch of hogwash! A woman who was born in Hawaii the day after our president, posted her "long form" to show that it is much different than what the campaign released....but they released a COPY!!!! And the woman's very old and near falling apart (like mine) original is a CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH!!!!

The only way the original would be available if he or his family had it...imagine if it was all old and stained...what would the kooks say then?

Their may be serious problems with our government...and most of them are older than 11 mos...but this is ridiculous...as ridiculous as my pink ass being from Kenya...That's what I am talking about

Gee, if only this simple explanation had been known millions would not have been spent by both sides so far fighting it in court. Do you think they would be fighting over a document that has already been released or whatever the hell your lame argument is? The Obama lawyers have already argued repeatedly and at length that there is a birth certificate and it has not been released and does not have to be released. The argument that everything is already public is just sad. The obvious retort is: if everything is already public why doesn't Obama just authorize Hawaii to release everything (since there's nothing new there you know).

At least you're right about the first part - he doesn't have to. He has, for now, gotten away with it. He won't be able to run for a second term, but he knew that going in.

All the while, NO-ONE can answer the question, why doesn't he just release the bc, instead of spending millions to keep it covered up, if there is nothing to hide? And of course it's not just the bc it's everything about his background that has been scrubbed.

But it's working out just fine. He's on the fast track to political ruin. And just about the time that train pulls into the station, he'll be exposed for the fraud he is. This is going to be great theater the next couple years? Anyone want to take bets on when polls show America would rather have Bush back? It's coming, and it will be a hoot!

The whole issue of his birth certificate and 'muslim faith' was something that was concocted by some of the more moronic elements on the right who knew that conservatives stood zero chance of winning if the election was going to be about real issues that matter to the american people. Instead of talking about healthcare, foreign policy or the economy and explaining how mccain's policies were different from the ones that hadn't really worked out so well on the previous republican administration (hint: they weren't), they decided that could only stand a chance of winning if they made obama into a scary foreign guy who might not really be american and may even be -gasp- a muslim. The lies didn't get john mccain elected, but the morons repeated them so often that they are now trying to claim that these are legitimate questions. They aren't. All this is a way of playing on people's xenophobia and distrust of muslims to score cheap political points and you guys are helping these assholes by posting and discussing this garbage.

Again, Exhibit A. COLB says born in Honolulu, HI in the US of A. That should be end of story unless you are an utter moron.

Also, the term 'illegal immigrant' doesn't mean anything. I smoke pot, park illegally and speed whenever I'm on the highway, which means I'm breaking the law several times a week. Does this make me an 'illegal citizen'? If you want to point to the fact that these people don't have legal documentation to be in the US, calling them undocumented aliens/immigrants should be sufficient.
