Obama on decriminalization

If your daughter was 11 years old and she was raped and became pregnant, what would you do about it? Now before you get all noble with your "she can suck it up and have the kid" attitude, let me explain something to you.

Just because the female body menstruates does not mean that her body itself can give birth. There are these girls in Africa, they get raped, they have these babies at a young age and it rips their uterus up. They end up with urine leaking into their uterus from these tears that go unrepaired. They spend the rest of their lives in exile from their own family because no matter what they do or where they go, that urine just keeps on leaking out of them. They spend their lives from about the age of 12, alone, nobody wants to be near them because of the urine leakage.

What if your daughter was 12 years old, and no matter where she went, urine leaked out of her vagina and she was made fun of and you had to end up keeping her in a shed out back?

You still haven't had anything to say about these young girls who get raped in Africe because the men their believe that raping a virgin has "healing powers".

Should an 11 year old girl be punished for life because the men of her village are uneducated and think that raping her will heal their illness?

We can only hope that his wife gets pregnant once per year until she reaches menopause, and that his daughter gets pregnant once per year until she also reaches menopause and that his son, gets 3 or 4 girls pregnant every year for a good 20 years, then maybe he'll wake the fuck up and smell his own bullshit.

Its bad enough that the government wants to dicate what I put in my lungs.

They also had to dictate when I could have a surgical sterilization method,

now people want them to dictate the contents of my uterus? No thanks......

Here's the funny thing, I had extreme periods, with tubes tied, and don't want anymore kids, for sure, no contest. I asked my doctor to take my uterus out because I am done with it and it causes me nothing but pain and extreme bleeding. They said they couldn't do that.

They won't take your parts out even if you are sure you are done with them. So on top of all that, I still had to sweat my tubes coming undone. (the doctor won't tie your tubes until you sign saying that you won't sue if they come undone, which means they can sleepwalk their way through the surgery with no recourse if they screw it up)

People with penis' should have no say in what people with vaginas do with said vaginas and uterus'. I don't care what people with a penis do with their penis, as long as they keep the damn thing away from me.

OH yes and one more thing about the glorious IUD, it is like carrying a tiny abortion doctor around in your uterus. The egg still is released and the sperm still fertilizes the egg. Egg plus sperm equals baby you know. The now fertilized egg can't attach because of the presence of the IUD so your body ABORTS it. Using an IUD is like having an abortion per month, just a little FYI........

They can cut tie and cauterize the tubes. They can also strip the uterus lining and offer some relief to you miss. Doctors suck,:)

The only thing that I really have to critique here, is that you are pretending that for this situation, an abortion is 100% or something. Do you believe abortions are safe?

Abortions don't hold a candle to safer more effective forms of birth control.

And just how many 11 year olds get raped and have kids in this country.
Please surprise me with a real number here.

Thanks!

I had my uterine lining fried with electicity. Great procedure, I highly recommend it. That was many years of suffering after I first asked them to take it out though.

I had my tubes done back in 1988, it's been over 20 years now, I get paranoid about them coming undone, it has been a long damn time.

THe bill that Obama signed has to do with foreign coutries. The money is going to help people in THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES, such as these young girls in Africa that get raped. You should really investigate what you are bitching about before you bitch about it.

See the word INTERNATIONAL, that's talking about countries that can't even afford fucking food, and you want them to keep on popping out kids to die from starvation and disease. Great........

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Obama struck down a rule Friday that prohibits U.S. money from funding international family-planning clinics that promote abortion or provide counseling or referrals about abortion services.
President Obama says he doesn't want family planning to be used as a "political wedge."

Obama said in a statement that family planning aid has been used as a "political wedge issue," adding that he had "no desire to continue this stale and fruitless debate."
The policy says any organization receiving U.S. family-planning funds from the U.S. Agency for International Development cannot offer abortions or abortion counseling.

I actually believe that is a anti-choice spammer.

"Anti-choicer".. Thats the best dismissal that you can come up with! LOL

I believe in liberty, and democracy. Im not forcing anything on anyone.

All I am complaining about is our president making it one of his top priorities when getting into office to waste hundreds of millions of tax dollars funding abortionism (is that even a word?)..

Why waste hundreds of millions of dollars as your top priority Barrack?
Why not save that little surprise for last buddy? And instead of wasting time and money.. Mr. President sir, why don't you revitalize our economy and fix our country sir?!

This isn't a campaign to take your right to murder a defenseless baby away. I am simply pissed that our president has his priorities all fucked up.

That anyone feels the need to interject here, is mainly your problem.

Ok, well since we probably don't have demography for that area, how do you really know 11 year olds are getting raped/pregnant?

I was just asking for a real number. I figure our census for this country will be more accurate.

But whatever you can come up with thanks.

I don't think you understand. These countries had been receiving the needed funding until Bush was elected. His FIRST day in office, his TOP priority was to cut off their funding. That is the very first persidential move he made.

Obama is just undoing a wrong that Bush did. Is it right that we sit here in America worrying about only ourselves when this kind of thing is going on? You do realize that terrorist groups get their members by FEEDING them. People are starving and they say "psst, hey, come over here with us. We have lots of food, we'll train you and feed you and you'll have clothes and medicines too".

Next thing you know, the World Trade Center is being slammed by airplanes. You've got so step back and see the bigger picture here.

An 11 year old girl, with a baby she wasn't ready for and urine leaking out of her vagina doesn't have many options. By the time that baby is 6 or 7 years old, he's joined the terrorist faction. He's got to eat too you know......

I respect your free speech. I expect the same from you. Thanks!

Rape South Africa
Rape is an occurrence which, according to official statistics occurred approximately 16,000 times annually during the 1980s. By 2006 the official figure for rape was over 55 000 , unofficially, based on the premise put forward by the National Institute of Crime Rehabilitation that only one in twenty rapes are reported, the figure is over 494,000 a year.
This means that on average approximately one thousand three hundred women can be expected to be raped a day in South Africa.
A study by Interpol, the international police agency, has revealed that South Africa leads the world in rapes.
A woman was raped in South Africa every 17 seconds. This did not include the number of child rape victims. It was estimated that one in every two women would be raped.
Between 28 and 30 percent of adolescents reported that their first sexual encounter was forced.
Of South African men who knew somebody who had been raped, 16 percent believed that the rape survivor had enjoyed the experience and had asked for it. According to a recent study police estimated that only one in 36 rape cases was reported and of those only 15 percent culminated in a conviction.
Rape Cases Reported South Africa - from South African Police Services :
2002 - 54 293
2003 - 52 425
2004 - 52 733
2005 - 55 114
2006 - 54 926

nited States of America
Somewhere in America, a woman is raped every 2 minutes, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
In 1995, 354,670 women were the victims of a rape or sexual assault. (NationalCrime Victimization Survey. Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Department of Justice, 1996.)
Over the last two years, more than 787,000 women were the victim of a rape or sexual assault. (National Crime Victimization Survey. Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S.Department of Justice, 1996.)
The FBI estimates that 72 of every 100,000 females in the United States wereraped last year. (Federal Bureau of Investigation, Uniform Crime Statistics, 1996.)
SILENT VICTIMS :
One of the most startling aspects of sex crimes is how many go unreported. The most common reasons given by women for not reporting these crimes are the belief that it is a private or personal matter and the fear of reprisal from the assailant.
Approximately 28% of victims are raped by husbands or boyfriends, 35% by acquaintances, and 5% by other relatives. (Violence against Women, Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Dept. of Justice, 1994)
The FBI estimates that only 37% of all rapes are reported to the police. U.S. Justice Department statistics are even lower, with only 26% of all rapes or attempted rapes being reported to law enforcement officials.
In 1994-1995, only 251,560 rapes and sexual assaults were reported to law enforcement officials -- less than one in every three. (National Crime Victimization Survey, Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Department of Justice, 1996.)
An overwhelming majority of rape service agencies believe that public education about rape, and expanded counseling and advocacy services for rape victims, would be effective in increasing the willingness of victims to report rapes to the police. (Rape in America, 1992, National Victim Center with Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center.)
LIVING IN FEAR :
According to the U.S. Department of Justice: (All statistics are taken from: Violenceagainst Women, Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Dept. of Justice, 1994.)
One of every four rapes take place in a public area or in a parking garage.
31% of female victims reported that the offender was a stranger.
68% of rapes occur between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
At least 45% of rapists were under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
In 29% of rapes, the offender used a weapon.
In 47% of rapes, the victim sustained injuries other than rape injuries.
75% of female rape victims require medical care after the attack.

My point exactly. You people on here can blow smoke out your asses all day long and I coudn't give two-shits about it. But when the anti-abortion or anti-gay or anti-whatever politicians you vote try to interfere with my rights by enacting legislation tailor-made to suit your biblical/moral/ethical beliefs at my expense you can shove those laws right up your holier-than-thou ass. When are "christians" going to get it and stop trying to decide for the rest of us?

This did not include the number of child rape victims..
Thats really what I was aiming at. Just based on the point you made about 11 year olds.

But honestly the information that you provided was definitely eye opening. A rape every 17 seconds in South Africa? Wow!

I really don't think that these 100's of millions that we are sending over are curbing the problem or the damage.

In my opinion the problem goes way deeper than "what to do with this child"..

Ya know?

If this article that you presented is true data from a reliable source (you didn't provide a link).. Then this is truly alarming, and something that I didn't know about.

Certainly causes me to re-analyze my position a bit. But I still think it is the wrong priority to focus on, and the wrong remedy for the problem.
