Obama One Term

Facinating that Obama made the statement, especially at this time, that he would rather be a great one term president than a mediocre 2 term. Let's just overlook the fact that he is nowhere near even being mediocre, and focus on why he would say such a thing.

Many have reacted to this by saying that if he were a great one termer, why would he have a problem being re-elected? And if Obama thinks he can't be re-elected, why would he think "that" would make him a great or even decent one termer? And why would he even bring up his potential one termerness when he is down politically?

I of course have a theory. First, he is suggesting he will not run for a second term hoping that may cause some of his opponents to back off and give him a chance to regain his footing. Second, and most important, Obama NEVER intended to run for a second term to begin with. His plan was to be "transformative" and ram through a bunch of hard left policy on what he thought was his huge popularity.

Then, he would part in splendor to take on a new role as the sage of the far left and the defacto leader of black america. Why would he do this after one term? because he knew he couldn't run for a second term on constitutional grounds. He expected to win court challenges to his natural born citizen status. But he also realized that before 2012 at least some states would pass new laws providing for a full examination of records before a candidate could be on the ballot. This is already under way in 6 or more states. To be on the ballot in those states he would have to produce the notorious birth certificate. he hasn't spent $1.7 million to date keeping it hidden only to release it in 2012. So he is beginning to drop hints now alluding to him not running.

He's up to something, and it isn't going to be good, he has the power to not only fuck over the entire country but every country connected to it.... crazy shit nice find

SHouldnt the birth certificate have been a requirement fulfilled prior to getting on any ballot anywhere in our country?
How unamerican is such an action? How could our government put a name on a ballot without checking this dominant credential? If this is true, who all should be charged for allowing it to occur?

I thought he would have had one already manufactured to quell this issue...

I think there was just too much fear of appearing to be blocking the black guy on a technicality. But now it's different. This can proceed without it being about Obama, just a general tightening of the system. That's what is happening and I think Obama anticipated it correctly. Heplanned to storm through four years as the messiah, ram his agenda through, and then rideoff into the sunset of culture hero and books and tours and power and money etc etc.

hmmmmm.....interesting theories......at least he accomplished one good deed by backing the feds off the med mary states allowing the paranoid states to start jumping on the bandwagon.....

Obama isn't desperate, except for over his current political standing. It's beginning to look like getting away with the mystery birth certificate is the only part of his plan that worked.

he said this during his campaign, it didnt just come up.

i think he thinks the natural progression would be for him to be president of the world. i think thats his ultimate goal.

Too bad his ultimate goal wasn't to be an exposed poser, he has that nailed.

I have a thought. What if his plan was to only serve one term as president, and get elected to something bigger. Maybe to something worldly, big enough for his ego. The reason I think this is, looking at the election it seemed like obama was the worlds choice for the pres of the U.S. I think he maybe running for King of the United nations or something. What has more influence than the U.N. in a communist mind?

I don't think he has the ambition to work that hard or have that much pressure on him. He seeks adulation not reponsibility. I think he probably envisioned a role something like that of Jesse Jackson BEFORE his fall.

Obama is in the process of sending out mixed signals.
Maybe he is truly confused,
Maybe he is a tad shell-shocked.
In any event...

The POTUS has brought Plouffe back on board and he seems to want to double down on ObamaCare and other misguided policies. If Obama does this he is doomed to being another Jimmy Carter.

If the administration moves towards the political center, he may very well acquire a second wind and be re elected as was Clinton after the Hillary care debacle.

The State of the Union speech should clarify some of the ambiguous smoke signals coming from the HopeyChangey team.

Nobama is a protege's of Jimmy Carter, no of the Dems like Jimmy until they need something like a noble peace prize? Sound like any winners we know of in the last few years!

After all Jimmy was able to get Yasser Arafat the same prize as well, also Al Gore, and now Nobama

And now the Nobama team are saying the AIG bail out is a national security threat and they can't release or talk about it at all?

Remember when Barney Frank sat threw all the hearings and said that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac could be saved and every one involve could get there money back if we just bailed it out? Well guess what now that the bail out money payed of all his backers he now says we need to shut them done and start a new government run housing program that they have more control of.
