Obama Tries To Sway Marijuana Voters, Marijuana Voters Toss Him The Finger

Obama is pulling the same shit he did the last time around... Last minute oh yea I'll legalize it.. He's just as full of shit as the rest of the people in Washington... They don't care about us only their votes.
Exactly. I'm not foolish enough to think he will actually do something, is it worth the risk? To me yes. I'd like to see it legal everywhere so people don't go to jail over a damn plant. I honestly think that would never happen with Romney. So what choice is left? It may be not the best choice but it's better than turning the train around and going back to where we started.

obama never said he would legalize it, ever.

he has hinted at being a fan of decriminalization, but it will not be pursued, that is too controversial for the guy.

it has been hinted that he will try to change the provision that prevents federal funds for education going towards anyone convicted of simple possession and the like.

still better than the guy in my sig.

I'm no fan of Obama, but in Obama's second term, yes he will win, and he will continue the war on marijuana. He won't destroy it like Romney would, but he will continue "as is" which is almost as bad.

In a perfect world we wouldn't have a two-party dictatorship and Obama and Romney would be competing for every single vote along with all the third party candidates. But since we have a frightened and weak-minded public in general the two-party exists and continues it's vicious cycle.

I have voted Nader the last two general's and I will be writing in Bernie Sanders in this one.
Unlike what people like mr2shim think, voting your conscious is much more honorable and patriotic then voting for a party. This is why I respect most Ron Paul supporters even though I don't agree with some of what Paul stands for. The "INTELLIGENT MINORITY" are the progressives and libertarians who have no party or powerful rich group supporting them, everyone else, basically 95% of the voting public, are allowing, supporting and voting for a corrupt system. It has become a game of you are either blue or red, any other color or party or individual you choose is wrong. Sounds a lot like behavior these two parties pretend to be against.

I was one of the 0.8% that voted for Nader in 2008, I feel both honored and alone to be a part of that minority. It's like I'm a part of some group of a few hundred who is attempting to break through the walls of a giant kingdom in order to save it from itself with new ideas and direction, and before we can even get to the castle walls we are slaughtered, burned and forgotten.

The facts are both Obama and democrats, Romney and republicans have lied to the American people about almost everything and neither supports marijuana. If you vote Obama or Romney you are part of the problem, not the solution.

Romney will likely make it somewhat harder for medical mary jane to be sold. Grown for private use? Maybe. Do not think he will try very hard on the mmj thing.

He is expected by his church to oppose drugs. If he had chose to have no kids with the mrs. they would have been shunned. He is controlled by his church, sorry mormons (as if they come here), just the way it is with them.

That said, I think he would go thru the motions of cracking down and not give a hoot about pot himself.

I am planning to vote Romney because of Obama's immigration stance mostly. Romney is unknown there, but repubs have benefited from the cheap labor and looked the other way for decades. I like that Obama tried to get socialized medical even if it ended with a clusterfuck "Obamacare".

The crackdowns in Cali are for big time money making outfits. The closet grow for your own stash, do not think that is going to be targeted ever. I wish they would leave the dispensaries alone, but big money attracts jealousy and resentment. Tobacco and alcohol taxes pay a lot of government salaries, but they say it is to control or 'punish' these 'sins'.

When the old farts and bible thumpers approved the medical marijuana act, they never envisioned stores selling large amounts of pot and some getting millions in revenue yearly. Or young guys on skateboards going in for 'medicine'. This was bound to end sometime. Only real hope is outright legalization or full on decriminalization for small grows at least.

Pretty sure Romney is gonna be the next president, sorry guys. Obama has a poor economic situation here and that is not the recipe for reelection. It will be close anyways.

ya mean, because he doesn't want to deport kids who were brought here through no fault of their own to a country they have never known?

do you prefer to romney position in which children who identify as americans and were never aware that they were brought here illegally get sent back to a country they have never known?

it doesn't make sense to spend money deporting blameless children rather than incentivizing them to become productive, taxpaying member of society. maybe you can explain how that makes sense to you.

I saw a YouTube clip a few weeks ago where Obama said he would try to legalize/decriminalize it. I could be wrong but, the video was from his 2008 campaign. I'm trying to find the the YouTube video where he said it. I will post it if I can find it again.

Anyway... No matter how you look at it, we are all fucked... It really doesn't matter who we vote for... Obama is going to continue his crackdown or whatever you want to call it and Romney is just going to come strait for us... So there's really no point in the discussion. Simple fact with either of them nothing will change for the better only for the worse.

Why do people believe Obama is part of every dispensary raid or even knew about it? Do you REALLY think he has that much time on his hands?

I don't think Obama is behind all the raids. I just think he's full of BS... But he is the better of the two Evil's IMHO...

I completely agree with you. I'm in no way saying he's our savior for all of our problems because that's bullshit. No president or administration can fix everything and anything. We are and basically always have been picking between the lesser of the two evils. In this case, as far as marijuana laws goes. It's Obama.

We are completely fucked either way as far as marijuana busts go for at least another 4 years. It's not even an issue worth thinking about when picking between one or the other because they both will fuck anyone that smokes/grows weed.

That said I think Romney is a total fucking narrow minded fool and completely out of touch with reality. He has the mindset of an ignorant 70 year old southern baptist. I could never put my trust in someone to be a world leader that bases his decisions on blind faith in the bible and church.

How do you know all of these personal facts? Do you travel with him? Wait, it's on the internet. Care to link me to the article(s) proving your claims?

I however DO agree with you that he doesn't care about marijuana neither did the previous, nor will the next. If he gets reelected and does something about it then that's alright with me.
