Occasional Seed From Buds

If you get a bud with 1 seed, and you know there was no males around to produce the seed, can you assume that you would get a female seed? Because the female plant hermied to produce that one seed. Any info would be appreciated.

the seeds you get from a hermie have a 50/50 chance of being female or hermie, you will never get a full male from a seed you get from a hermie that impregnated itself...

If you grow the seed and confirm that it is a female can you take cuttings?Or can the cuttings also have a 50/50 chance of being a hermie?

if you confirm that it's 100% female, than the clones you take from it WILL be guaranteed 100% females as well, hope this helps!

There is just no way to tell. The only fact is the plant or plants have hermie traits and are therefore unreliable.I had a bro come by and he had some Purple Hash plant buds for sale I'm all cool and then he tells me there was a pollination accident.I could only find a seed in every other bud, someone didnt change clothes before they went back into the flower room.So I grow these 6 test subjects because the male in this breeding test was supposed to be Skunk #5.Anyway all 6 sprouted vegged em flowered em just to check the sex and 2 were male Im like cool then a day went by and two females had balls and bush.Got pissed and threw the whole batch out even the fems that hadnt hermied. It just isnt worth the time and effort .KILL THE HERMIES...

Hermie's aren't completely useless, they're an important part of "seed feminizing", breed a hermie with a female, and you got yourself 100% female seeds!!! it's cool!

isn't there a chance of the hermi gene popping up again from the new batch of seeds? or can you say 100% of seeds will be fem?

True Fem seeds are produced when the pollin of a hermie is added to a healthy female. So you need two plants to create healthy herm seeds.

Sorry bud but you are 100% wrong. If the hermie trait shows naturally then you have a hermie.Hermies beget hermies.I used to want it to be that way also but its simply untrue. You have to treat a good strain that doesnt hermie with a chemical Colloidal Silver is one of those. Then you have a male with female DNA.Then all seeds pollinated by that male will be females, not hermies.
Just wanted you to know.Do youre research and you will see Im right.:bigjoint:
