For the record, I have not used OF as I was warned away from it by someone who said it was "too hot." They meant this literally, as a pile of it with a piece of plywood at the bottom had composted hot enough to burn that plywood to a crisp. So that's the potential downside of all that good organic stuff in there.
I have no complaints about happy frog. Have used it many times and it's never let me down. Currently, I mix it with some bat guano before it goes into pots. I try to put em in the largest possible pots from the get go rather than transplant em a bunch of times. I water with plain water until I feel the nutrients in the soil have been depleted, as indicated by the plants, and then start watering with Maxsea (this is outside, now) every third watering or once a week, whichever comes first. The rest of the time they get straight water.
The plants are NOT complaining.
