Hey guys, I decided to try out ocean forest soil (with added perlite) but I was wondering if it has too many nutrients to directly plant seeds in it without burning/stunting growth?

Thanks!

ocean forest has a good amount of proper nutes just dont give the plant any nutes only water for at least 3 weeks and no it wont burn the plant at all doing it right now with good results

add 1 1/2 cups of dolomite lime and 10 cups of worm casting to the bag, makes it a little better.good luck :weed:

You will always have better luck staring seeds in peat pellets with just ph'd water. Don't start them in soil of any kind, peat pellets are the fastest and easiest and most reliable way to grow seedlings. And they're like what 5 for $1 retail....

yeah i got some seedlings that have been going about a week now using ocean forest with perilite added. just been giving water at a ph of 6.3-6.5 and they are green and loving it. Got em to sprout and threw em in. About 48hrs later they were sticking out of the dirt.
