Ocho2's third Grow! Sensi Star, Exodus Kush, Bubblegummer, and Pure AK! 400Watt HPS!

The light is set at 150 watts right now and is above the seedlings at 18 inches.

When would be the proper time to increase the wattage? Maybe to 250 watts before 400 watts?

I gave a tiny squirt around each seedling of 1/4 strength 7-9-5 and 1/4 strength of magi-cal calmag. Four squirts with a spray bottle around the girls, not actual watering

Any advice or tips?

Thanks all

Awesome :D! Great to have you back Crazy :3.

When do you think its the best time to raise the wattage? Did it too soon in the beginning of the last garden and some leaves got crisped a bit.

Thanks crazy and glad to hear from you again :D

been busy lately but its always cool to watch another one of your grows when i got some time to spare. as for upping the lumens and all that, seedlings can be sensitive but after the 2nd-3rd weeks theyre pretty hardy for strong light, if theyre having a hard time taking the light(they should react to it pretty fast, about 30 minutes) you can move them farther away and bring them a bit closer every day, and just for future knowledge in case you ever try outdoor to harden them off from low indoor lights to something more powerful like the sun you put them in the shadows for a day or two(since you cant put the sun farther away), same goes for clones.

Sensi Star seems to have a slight weakness towards the top of her stem by her first little amd single leaves. The fan is outside blowing giving them all a slight wiggle to strengthen their stems. I used a pipe cleaner with a hook on each end to support her. A hook on the rim of the bucket and a hook on her. It worked and shes facing straight up.

When sensi star and pure ak were breaking the soil the cat went in the garden and stepped on pure ak and sensi stars coco by them but not on them. I have a feeling that may be why shes leaning, but since shes still growing it seems that everything will be fine as long as shes supported awhile.

Thanks all,

looking good ocho.
Have you got a fan blowing on them yet it may seem counter productive but it will strengthen the stems right up

Yeah. The fan is outside of the closet, blowing inward. It's giving every girl a little wiggle every few seconds.

Two days ago I noticed a little nutrient burn. I started feeding them last week but it was obviously too early. Once I saw that i fed normal not food water. How long until I should feed them? I just don't want to see calmag or anything again as there was in wwxbb.

Thanks cata :D

I pulled the light towards the door more. Since its hooked in the ceiling, I simply thumb tacked the strings to the door frame.

Just seems that pure ak is getting the least light, and I definitely don't want to see any of these girls go to waste.

I water the girls with a spray bottle. Don't spray them, just spray a circle of coco around them then lightly water that circle. The 1/4 solution of calmag and 7-9-5 nutes they ate today, after super diluting it with normal water

if you treated the coco with calmag and nutes before you planted then you shouldnt need nutes until you just before you water them properly with run off. usually when you got the second set of true leaves poking their tips out. coco holds nutes well but you can wash it out easily if you just use water with run off. as with a cal problem just keep the ph in at 5.8 and you should not see it again, but just in case treat the coco a week before flowering and a couple of weeks into it if your not using coco specific nutes.

if your ak is anthing like my sensi star x ak 47 it will start slow then fuckin take off. 3 weeks into flower and its 5 foot and climbing

Im really excited. I had an incident with Sensi Star today that is worrying me. She was being supported but my water bottle caught the pipe cleaner and she came out of the ground a bit. I used the surrounding coco and made a little mound around her. It happened after she was watered. Shes standing up without the support now, i just hope no damage was done.

Exodus kush and Bubblegummer have their five leaves coming, but still small. Photos tomorrow afternoon after work. Got a part time job just a few hours ago for while finishing college, so that's pretty exciting as well :D

Thanks Cata

it should be fine your coco is pretty loose on top and it will still be a straight tap root. fingers crossed

I mean it's been quite a few hours since it happened and she's standing strong. Definitely helped that I made a mound and firmly molded so she stands without support.

All these girls broke the soil on the 18th. About 4 days ago I increased the light to 250 watts. When would be best to start 400 watts?

Now that i have a job i can get a sick fan for the light in about two weeks
