odd new growth on fresh rooted clones.

Hi there. So I got my buddy to let me take a couple cuttings of his m.o.b. plant. Ive never grown this strain myself but its everywhere up here in maine.

Turns out the plant had a few mites on it so I taped shut the tray/dome until they rooted (he actually gave me 3 cuts but one didnt make it, also I got 3 cuts of grape gum from him that are all doing beatifully).

Now during the rooting process they got some spotting/yellowing which ive had happen in some strains before. And once they rooted I I held them upside down and dunked them in need to kill the mites. It seemed to have worked so far (before I transplanted clones I thouroughly neemed my veg plants as a precaution.

Now the new growth on these clones is light colored with darker patches and its shaped oddly.

In the pics I hacrnt cutnoff thenleaves with mite damage yet because it seems to young to cut off those leaves.

Sorry for three posts but phone screwrd me making first one a whole piece and then on second I accidently hit post instead of upload..

Temps: 75-78
Rh: 37ish

Ph: 6.5 going in

Medium: pro mix bx, cloned in a peat pellet.

Couple more pics to hopefully better illustrate what's going on. Really dont want to lose this strain been trying to get it for a long time.

Any opinions/advice greatly appreciated.

I thought about that but theyve only been watered once with phed water... and this is the very first growth since it was rooted.

So I'm thinking the plants are telling me n toxicity. So I transplanted them. Washed the soil off the roots before replanting. We will see.

Only way it could be n toxicity is if I accjdently used the wrong jug or wrong soil. Which is possible I guess.

What about calcium?

And too much k would be unlikely since if I made a mistake with wrong jug or soil neither of the wrong options had a lot of k.

Both wrong options did however have a lot of nitrogen in them.

It may I'll try lowering it a tad on A couple plants.

Anothet thing that gets me is that none of my other strains have ever done this and even the strain i cloned with these mob clones are doing fine. And theyve had litterally the exaxt same life.

There is not enough calcium in their diets . . . . the gnarly new growth from the growing head, I'd say that that is calcium deficiency before the spotting. The leaves are too shiny, have you neemed them recently?? Too many vits, or too much K . . . . my diagnosis . . . .upth the Mg too dude ;)

Yes they were neemed as soon as they rooted. Dunked in it because the cuts had a few mites from the friend I got them from and I didnt want them in my room. The strain that had the same cloning enviro and everything were also dunked upon showung roots.

Ah right, explains the over shine on the plant, NOT so much an abundance of K then, apologies.

So you've just potted them up recently. How they looking now?
What soil are you sing?
Have they been fed anything at all yet?
Do you know the EC of your tap water? If that's what you are using.

Right now theyre in a coco peat mix. I use it for starting seeds mostly but I know it has no fert in it.Still not looking good. Havent been fed at aall. Not sure of ec in water. Its good well water.

Clones once they have rooted, ime, can be fed at half strength; do it! ;)
