I tried the diy route and made a 4" carbon filter like is shown on the net with a dayton 465 exhaust blower. It just didnt work but I coughed up the money for a vortex 6" 449 and a 6" virgin carbon filter and all i have to say is save your money and do the same. I know use the dayton for air intake. It is the most incredible improvement. My hat goes off to vortex. Just my 2cents
