Odour problem with carbon filter?!

to be honest, there won't be anything you can do to eliminate the smell at that point.. i have seen setups running 2, 6" filters on 2 424 cfm fans (6x6x8 room) and it still smells.. not as bad as without them, but i have never seen the smell be controlled to the point a person in the house doesn't know what is going on. that is the best advice i can give you.. again, i have never seen/smelled a grow smell completely contained. minimized yes, eliminated, never.. also, ona just masks odor.. it doesn't eat it. i have seen that used many times also, and for a small low odor plant it helps.. doesn't get rid of though.. you basically get a mix of the ona smell and your pot flower smell.. if i had a cop coming over, i would chop now, maybe start a new grow or make it so it is in veg when he comes by, then flower after.. good luck!!
I grow in 2 cabinets that are joined together with a piece of 6in ducting. I use a 6 in. Vortex and a 6x24 Phresh filter and am currently in the 7th week of flower and you can put your face up to the exhaust and not smell them. I did notice now it is not quite as clean smelling as before but it doesn't smell anything like the plants or ferts. Fertilizer products have a very distinctive smell also and can be a dead give away. I have numerous state and other state run agencies in my house on a monthly basis and none of them know about my garden in the basement. Even though I'm legit for everything I have it is better to just leave somethings unsaid. The old saying still applies - Loose Lips, Sink Ships!
I would have to agree with the majority though on if I wasn't legal and the snappers (cops) were comming over my ladies wouldn't be there. You say you only have 1 or 2 plants, in that size box they can't be too large, move them out of the house. A friends house, a cooler in the trunk, anywhere but where the snappers are!

The problem was probably the filter not being rated at a high enough cfm for single pass exhaust use. Most filter cfm ratings are for scrubbing and there is a lower rating for single pass. My 8x12 phat filter has a 200cfm rating for scrubbing and a 100cfm rating for single pass.
