howdy all, as some of you know i was planning a grow cabinet with a led panel, organic ccob hempy buckets etc but lets face it, a cabinet was just never going to cut it so after getting the ok to build a completely sealed grow room behind a false wall (behind a bar he he) stelth as with aircon and full controls i have decided to build a cage within my allowed space based on hobbes designs (air floors, air pruning buckets, ccob training)
I will have 4 progrow 180 selective switch led panels, one per station, will allow either a 3 stage perpetual grow with a mother chamber or two twin stage motherless perpetual system (clones taken straight from veg to flower constantly)
i believe i can fit 5 6 inch ccob plants under each light in the allowed area, do you agree?
they will all be in air pruning hempy buckets with trf osmocote plus organic and a coupla supplements on the way with an auto watering system :)
have two plasma induction bulbs (50watt dual spectrum) on the way to add to one of my sections and see if it is worth the investment with the result and yield?
i am going to be running arjans ultra haze 2, crimea blue, lsd, rocklock and the other herbies freebie i got first round but getting some tga beans next time and hopefully sensi star too!
question, am i better off wth one large fan or two smaller ones? i need to move roughly 6-800cfm.
dodgy diagram below, any comments, suggestions, advice greatly appreciated!

You're quite mad, you know? Bloody bonkers. Next thing you'll be tunneling an underground grow complex. Oh well, it's a noble hobby. LOL

What sort of freebies did Herbie's send you? BTW- I wish you'd put your testimonial about Herbie's on my thread in the Seedbank section. I can't find many people who have done business there.

How are you going to build this thing with one arm? I'm assuming you'll have a little help? Hopefully...

It's going to be interesting watching this take shape.

yeah my brother in law aka best mate aka partner in crime is a builder by trade, he'll knock the whole lot including the bar and hidden doors (two bob marley posters lol) out in a weekend if i provide the smoke! cheers bro.
yeah the missus has labelled be 'the weed alchemist' because ive gone and designed a little lab for myself and want to create potions and probducts :) hey what sort of yield minimum can i be expecting, only want enough for myself and a lil extra, 2-3 ounces harvested a week would be perfect to supply everyone, you think this is possible?
got two seeds, fem dna rocklock and fem dna sour cream, gonna germ them just for the fun and keep the genetics for my ultimate bonsai graft mother plant....
as far as herbies goes as a seedbank, only had one deal with them but A+ in m books, actually got here, quick and stealth too! will be ordering from herbies again, def post in your thread man!
cant comment on genetics as i havent germed yet but itching like mad to do so!
still cant decide how to rotate my grow, have so much room to play with now he he like a kid in a candy store, gotta hide my credit card from myself methinks... lol

You should crank out the buds in a perpetual grow, but problems and yields can't be projected. Counting chickens before they hatch is unwise, but given that all goes well, you might surprise yourself. In a month or so, things should be well on their way. I'm a bit jealous of your set-up. Very nice project.

Which specific beans did Herbie give you free? (edit- Oh, I just caught the rocklock and sour cream were freebies, interesting...and crossing those two would be interesting.) I'm unclear on the way they kick in freebies. I was tempted to give them a whirl, but I balked.

Good to know you've got such a cool brother in law to conspire with.

Cheers!

yeah he's a champion, one im actually going to be helping so hes very on board with the project! lol its nothing to be jealous of, still cost less than $2k all up, far cry short of what i see other set ups that produce less and are harder to maintain, cost.
cant rep herbies enough, they change the freebie specials each month and this month its one of each rocklock and sourcream for evey 50 pounds you spend on seeds and there are free random bonus seeds sometimes whrn you order.
im planning everything in advance, well as much as i can at least, to help me get great results, only unproven part of it is my led's but we shall see :)

hey viagro, changed my mind, top section will now be one not two, with a progrow 260 over the top if its big enough, purely to flower, then i can have two veg chambers underneath an use the other two 180s as mother keeprs!

That makes sense. I wondered about that. You'll work it out as it develops. Does it get pretty humid in Adelaide? Your design should take care of that nicely, either way. You're using Hempy buckets? I know nothing about that, I'm a dirt man, so I'm going to learn something. JapanFreak's thread sure impressed me. I like his Hempy design. But, I don't know if I'll ever go that route. Something so basic and natural about dirt, and the complex of terpenes afforded can't be matched.

im actually going to be doing half hempy coir/perlite and half hampy soil so we'll see which turns out better! (soil will be subcools recipie btw) it hasn't been humid in past years but the last couple it got pretty sticky, our weather is crazy unpredictable thats why i gotta go all out and plan for everything lol.
yeah i like this idea better, bigger panel for flower alone, veg cab either side at the bottom for clones/seeds and a mother chamber off to each side with a grafted mum with maybe 5 strains on her... 10 strains available as clones on hand constantly, plus seeds, i can pick n mix how i want :) he he me likey this idea, tis perfection no? lol

30k? It's hard to say, with things still in near freefall...maybe. Depends where. I live in the area least hit by the depression. Houses here are selling for less, but 30k wouldn't get you much. Maybe in a sheriff's auction or something, you might find something. Bankers are finding ways to make-out like bandits, coming and going. So the people/buyers aren't necessarily getting the best of the downturn. Of course you could go to Detroit and maybe buy a city block of houses for 30k, but you aren't thinking Detroit, I'm guessing?

You thinking California, or what?

Looking forward to the pics.

LAYOUT.pngthere ya go, the two vents will be where the cooled carbon filtered exhaust will come out, the flowering chamber will have the larger panel and be open to both sides, one veg area per side/mother.
ill also be having 'patient parties' and serving vape bags from behind the bar for those who have helped me out an in the know :P

Who needs perfection? Just shoot for satisfaction.
I ALWAYS shoot for perfection, but ALWAYS prepare for failure. Aim for the stars and remember that no matter HOW good you do, you can always get better. Dad used to tell me "Practice makes you better, nobody is EVER perfect"

I'm leaning too far in the Buddhist/Taoist direction for that philosophy. Non-attachment to outcome, and all that.

Desire is the root of suffering. I prefer to go with the flow, and accept what comes.

If you need any help, I live in Central Cali and my bro-in-law is a real estate agent who DESPERATELY wants to get into the MMJ market. He's finding land for us right now and preparing to get his card which he will then basically turn it over to me since I already have my card and am growing. Kind of a "silent partner" set-up. $30k won't get anything in Cali unless it's auction. And even then, it's VERY rare. Avg price of a 3/2 house on 1/4 acre is about 100-120k starting. In my area at least. Found a couple around $60k, but the house was falling down. PM me if you want to get some info.

I like the idea. Eastern religions encourage the pursuit of perfection don't they? I thought the basic premise was to always do your best but be satisfied with the outcome? Not focusing on the desire for perfection, but on the joy of living.
