OG Kush Leaves starting to turn lighter colors

Have a few plants, all OG Kush from reserva privada that are starting to exhibit tie died sort of leaves on the last 2-3 leave sets on the top of the plant

They are 20 days into flower ...
Day temps are 80 66* at night
Humidity 40-50% all throughout cycle

Only my OGKush are changing colors like this, other strains remain perfectly green and normal

If I'm not mistaken OG is naturally a lighter color green then most strains.

Yea, that does look weird. I have to admit, I just looked at the thumbnails.
Pattern sort of looks regular to me, Like it had plenty of nitrogen (outside of leaf dark green) then went through a deficiency (the yellow part) then back again bit lighter green. My opinion is the plant is doing fine and from now on all the leaf will be a lighter green. Good luck.

Looks like a zinc deficiency bro. Or maybe heat stress creating some type of chlorosis.

Or maybe the roots hit something not mixed too well in the soil and it will get passed it.

Growing in Aeroponics so not soil... but thanks for guess. It does seem like it hit a deficiency then back to normal... I missed a few days foliar feeding so maybe it is depending on the foliar feed for peak health.

My tent has gotten a little warm this past week so maybe that could be a cause? I also started up c02 and my airpump is still inside the tent pumping i guess c02 into the reservoirs and less oxygen.. I will try to put the airpump outside and see if that helps as well as some ice into the reservoirs (in the form of frozen 2L bottles)


Chem Dawg... thank you for thank link... But When i reference back to my photos, they seem to go light green from the inside out as opposed to your pictures from the outside in!?
-but from reading the actual description... does kind of sound like zinc. Maybe OGKush is just a zinc hungry plant as pH stays spot on as i check and adjust daily if necessary. Foliar feeding has helped like your post mentioned... I will try to look into some zinc micro supplements and see if anything can help. Plant seems to be growing great but would rather everything be perfect and not discolored, especially while in flower

I noticed that after I posted also. But I had this issue late in flowering about a month ago and I'm sure it was from my light being to close. I have a pic some where I'll look for it.

if im not mistaken, thats magnesium deficiency. Are you using r/o water? Do you use a cal/mag additive?

tap water, dont have access to any r/o water

Currently no cal/mag as i used to use with full humboldt line and it made the roots nasty looking, so i stopped using cal/mag , well sea cal and sea mag, and plants still kept doing fine

Can i foliar feed cal/mag?

I was thinking it was a calcium deficiency but could never find any pictures that showed the symptoms of that

Wow thanks for that post. I'm also growing OG and that looks identical to my problem

yeah i searched all the major forums (RIU, 420mag, THCFarmer) in their major plant problem thread and saw NO pictures looking like mine, which is why i created this thread lol needed advanced opinions

and i think chem dawg was just posting those pics as someone else said that was the possible cause?

Only posted calcium and magnesium because that is what they suggested. I'm sure it's a zinc def or some sort of heat stress.

After the zinc deficiency has been attended to, will the damaged leaves turn back green? Or just the new growth?
