I met Smokey Robinson in Philly International in 1986. I walked right past him and a small group of guys and I was speachless. Ten or twelve steps later I turned around and yelled "hey Smokey". He turned and gave me a wave and a big smile. I didn't wanna bother him beyond that. It was pretty cool.

I just got reminded about this in another thread. In 8th grade I got to go to a Stephen Hawking lecture, and very briefly say hello. That was pretty neat.

My fathers house he designed and built was on the front cover of a homes magazine

Back in the 70's my dad owned a bar and had ZZ Top booked about a year before they became popular, 1500$ for two nights.

Me. OK, I probably fall into the barely famous group, but I'm sure there are people here that would be familiar with my work (back in the day) if not my name. Alas, I can't say more without outing myself.

This whole thread could be filled with lies and tall tales, but there you have it.

Others include: Richard Hell, Allen Ginsberg, Matt Lauer, Jon Alpert, and the lady who sued McDonald's over hot coffee.

OK, I lied about the hot coffee lady. :) But all the rest is true.

Craig Busch (the Lion Man), Craig Charles from Red Dwarf, Vic Mignogna, Girls Aloud, I sat on the lap of Tippa Irie in his dressing room as a child, and I featured with reggae singer Andrew Paul. I didn't know he was big when I was in the studio (his records were mostly before my time) until I found a photo of one of his records with our local record store literally 2 minutes from my house printed on it on Googe.

Leona Lewis, Adele and Amy Winehouse went to the same school as me; Leona visited most recently.

When I was playing football for the university of alabama I was named to the all american team and got to meet president John F kennedy at the white house. Later on after I came back from vietnam I met president Lyndon B. Johnson. I showed him the shrapnel in my butt.

Let me guess.......Forest? LOL

Way to easy.

And I know I'm old because I don't know half the people mentioned in this forum.

The one....The only.....Chuck Norris....was 07' during second tour in Iraq. He was on a USO tour and his and one of the shuttle pilots from the movie Amrageddon(the older guy with the really silver hair). Anyways they stopped by our base shook hands took pic etc....It was cool, he is really soft spoken and smiles a lot. His bad ass factor took a huge hit though because he was wearing a phanny pack but his score went back up when he actually did a chuck norris joke about the phanny pac lol. I cannot get the pics off my old laptops hard drive but here is a pic of him i found on the net during that stop with marines from CT7
