I somewhat agree. Going by the sounds of it, you have only sampled heat decarbed extracts..
No, not at all. I actually make live resin professionally along with being a buyer in a dispensary. I sample everything.
There are some terpenes left with a heat decarb, but nothing to brag about. Try 100% naturally decarbed extract. NO heat whatsoever, and an organic solvent, like 200 proof ethyl. Allow the product to naturally decarb, over a period of around 4 months, in a sealed container, under pressure. I think you may take back some of your comments.
I've never seen such a product. I'm not sure how that would work. If you're evaporating the ethanol, how ever you evaporate it, all alcohol based terpenes would go with it unless I'm not understanding something here.
For starters, if you have all of the terpenes, there is also a terpene in cannabis that is anti-anxiety, and suppresses the "buzz" effects. However, this terpene does need to be present in the starting material. It does alter the blood brain barrier as welll and the buzz can last days, not just hours.
I'm not sure what terpene you're talking about specifically. Seems like you are describing linalool when talking about suppressing buzz effects and reducing anxiety, but myrcene when when talking about altering the blood barrier.
I'm unaware of any terpene that does specifically what you are talking about. I do know of terpenes which have the potential to alter the blood barrier such as myrcene, but that alters in the opposite way. It allows thc to more easily permeate your the blood barrier, making more of the thc in cannabis more immediately available. I have never heard of any terpene that would actually constrict.
What terpene specifically are you talking about and how are you getting this information? I'm very interested.
