Ok for wire to touch a 135 watt cfl?

Hi all, first post so apologies if I'm breaking some sort of etiquette by posting wrongly, anyway......

Just finished making my macguyvered mini grow space and at the moment its being powered by 1 135 watt daylight cfl, nothing growing yet, just waiting for the seedlings (bag seed) to make an appearance.

I have my bulb horizontal to maximise light but due to having no lamps to put it in, its currently dangling from its power cable and ive used a couple of pieces of tied wire to hold the bulb horizontally.

Will the bare wire holding the bulb up damage the bulb when it heats up or will the bulb glass cope just fine with wire touching it?

Next week i'll be getting at least another bulb, maybe 2 and a small fan, and if im going to balance the other bulbs with wire I want to know if its all going to go horribly wrong :-/

Thanks for any replies :)

Bulb will be fine with metal touching it, or even other CFL's for that matter. I got tired of adjusting mine so as not to touch my metal lamp holders containing UV bulbs, so finally just let CFL's do as they pleased.

I hang my cfl lighting setup by the bulbs. I use bailing wire. Just don't use anything with a melting temperature under boiling ( just to be safe )

if I hung by Y SOCKETS instead of the bulb.... The weight is off balanced and doesn't hang parallel.
