first off your light is too small and too far away....... you should buy the 42 watt= 150w cfls at home depot...... I 42 watt 1 inch away from the plant should last until it is about 6 inches tall...then you should have 2 untill 12 inches tall. when you start budding you should have 4.
you also need circulation. any small fan will do even a large fan set on low.
your light dome is good but should be metal or nontranslucent white for best reflection.
you should be growing more than just 1 sprout and save the one(s) that are healthiest.
paint the interior white or buy mylar film.
some more stuff but that will get you started

also as far as the color spectrum....I vege the plants under the 42w soft white as the primary under the lamp dome. they grow very nice. although i do use the 26w blue as side lights. mix it up...get a light spliter and put one of each on there...hang that over your plants.

yes mylar.....unfortunately it is kind of expensive its around 1.00 per 4'x1'

you saw a little plant growing after you watered what? for that amount of space buy the 25' roll. they come 4ft wide. need to go to a hydro place or serious garden shop to buy it.

I disagree with saying you need 42 watts for 1 plant in veg. This is my plant at 3 weeks with 1 26 watt 6500k DAYLIGHT
Also, you can buy an emergency blanket from wall mart for 2 dollars and works just like mylar.

pennywise.....great job man. I am glad i added some 26w days to my growth. nice green color too. i will consider that emergency blanket thing. i would love to keep posted with those pics as it gets older....are you going to flower under cfl as well? I am working on my first cfl grow.
ferny....those leaves will come and go. it is a bit of root that went the wrong way i think. they dissapear usually.

Hell ya you should leave it. All plants grow at different times. Some plants are smaller than others. In the end it just matters if they put out fruit right?
