Anything with peatmoss peralit for good aration and no SLOW RELEASE NUTES. I really don't know of any brands from wal-mart since only use fox farm soil from hydro shops.

well, weed is a weed and a weed wants to grow and will always try it's best but if you want it to be anything like nice you should do some serious research and do the best you can possibly do for your plant. start at the FAQ at the top of the page and go from there. btw old soil is a definate no

If you cannot go to a hydro shop buy miracle grow PATIO, this will be enough for good grwoth. You will not need to add nutes until later.

No soil is just soil, nutrients are what hols the npk.

Ok, so your confused. On some nutrients the NPK seems low, like 2-1-3. And on others it can be high, 14-24-16. Whats the deal here?

Nutrient values (N-P-K)are expressed as total percentage of weight as packaged. Organic nutrients typically tend to have lower npk values than chemical nutrients. Don't let this fool you, you can easily burn plants if you overfertilize!
Powder nutrients tend to have higher NPK values than liquid nutrients because they are not already partially diluted with water. Do not let low N-P-K values fool you, what really matters is how strong these nutrients are when diluted to recommended levels ie: thier tds/ppm/ms/eC/cf. For example SuperVeg will give you a tds of around 1000 ppm when used according to directions, while Aquafeed "V" Powder will have a tds of around 600 ppm if used as recommended.
What does N-P-K stand for?
N = Nitrogen 7-9-5
Nitrogen is the first major element responsible for the vegetative growth of plants above ground. With a good supply, plants grow sturdily and mature rapidly, with rich, dark green foliage.

P = Phosphorus 7-9-5
The second major element in plant nutrition, phosphorus is essential for healthy growth, strong roots, fruit and flower development, and greater resistance to disease.

K = Potassium (Potash) 7-9-5 The third major plant nutrient, potassium oxide is essential for the development of strong plants. It helps plants to resist diseases, protects them from the cold and protects during dry weather by preventing excessive water loss.

This is possible but you will run into alot of nutrient problems. Cannabis is weed don't get me wrong, but if you want oustanding results get good soil, ph pen, nutes a quality lighting + fans.

At Walmart I got a Jiffy soil mix that was perlite and peat moss, no nutes. it was near the jiffy pots. I couldnt find Fox Farm soil anywhere near me.

They only sell fox farm at nurseries or hydo shops.

Tartoodle taht works to, or buy some expo soil and just then buy peralite and peatmoss and mix that.

I am also growing with cfls as well. I recommend getting the 45 watt which is equivelent to 150 watts . Look on thepackage and get the one that produces the most lumens. I think the 45 watt has 2600 lumens. Get at least 3 of those and keep them close to the plant because they give off almost no heat. In the beginning you will only need one. Then as it gets bigger add another, then another.

Ferny, you can get the 42's at walmart, but those are better in the flowering cycle, because they are soft white 2700k. You need the 26 watt daylight 6500k and they sell both at walmart. Trust me the 6500k for veg and 2700k for flowering this is what is best for your plants, I promise.
