Ok killed the bugs, flushed now whats up? Pictures

Sorry for the "high quality images" Ok so I figured this was just a nutrient problem. Then I noticed bugs the bugs are dead and my plant has been flushed. How ever my fan leaves are still dying and even a lower branch is falling off :wall:

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Also its in a 20 gal pot so there's no root bound I just transplanted it.

what did you use to kill bugs,,sometimes pesticides and other bug products can burn or harm your plants..

not sayin this is the case but if it is try and spray leaves and wipe them of the best you can..

but let me know what you used..

oh and does the plant have nutrients still or did you flush with plain phd water and add no nutes at all.

if this is the case you plant does need nutes to continue growing and staying healthy

I've just flushed it and have not continued the nutes. The bugs were in the soil and I used spectricide It was just at home depot and safe on gardens. This has been a reoccurring problem since I started growing this plant. Idk if I should just let it ride? Its only the fan leaves.

i would sugest using neem oil, as its very safe and work absoulutly wonderfull..
you can get it at almost any garden or hardware store....they might even have it at home depot. im not shure though

Yeah they did have it I got advised against it though. I am going to use the sand idea soon though.

oh lol well ive used it for around 7 years as more of a preventative( hense you said they were all dead) and it has worked wonders for me...

but different strokes for different folks...

Ok I already killed the bugs off now I'm concerned that my plant has a disease.. Some one did suggest it was root bound so I transplanted it into a much larger pot. Any ideas?

Ya i've got some input, the first and second pics up their are chemical burns most likely from the pesticide you used to kill your bugs,but the second pic could also be from the high concentration of certain nutes in your new soil. If your using tap water it has anywhere from 50-400 ppm which has many benefitial nutes in it. I wouldn't fertalize until your plant is rooted and growing unless you know your water ppm and what your plant can handle. Dont worry about those few burned leaves,thats old news your plant is probably fine. Pesticides have serious affects on plants. Hope this helped.

Thank you that is valuable information. I will have to check the ppm But how come it only burns the fan leafs?

The plant is designed that way so the fan leaves take the hit to preserve the seed/bud

It sounds to me that before you transplanted it you used the pesticide on the roots instead of the leaves,this will cause your plant to soak it up through the roots and essentially damage your leaves. Your lucky,i'm guessing you don't run co2,if you were your plants grow so fast it could have minor burns all the way to your tops. Your plant will most likely be ok. Goodluck.
