Giving these seeds another 24, then I'm throwin' them in a glass of water. The Quasar seed was really small but we'll see, freebie either way so who could complain. I'll throw in a Skunk #1 if it don't germ.

We have little taproots 3 out of 4 and the 4th has cracked waiting for her to peek out. Going to cut dixie cups in half fill with the potting soil, and put the lights and the last light trap on today. Will post pictures when life is above the dirt.

Got my money today. Going out to buy some things I need. One thing I still need answered and within the next 20 minutes. Is happy frog (if my nursery still has it) safe for seedlings? Only could find one post on another forum that says it should be ok, so I come to rollitup as always for verification.

I went with happy frog and some regular potting soil, going real weak with the happy frog at first. Probably just gonna go with the FP since I got the happy frog also. Going to check seeds and see if they'll be ready by tomorrow morning.

Seeds are in dixie cups that were cut in half with potting soil/perlite with about a half a cup of happy frog mixed into the 4 "grow cups". Pictures will come when all are above soil. Going out today to get Y splitters and higher wattage bulbs/more bulbs. Keeping lights on 18/6 until first set of true leaves then switchin' to 12/12.

Having temps of 92 with only two bulbs on only running intake. Testing with exhaust on overnight. Regardless, I'm going to need another fan. SO I got a question RIU, should I just punch holes for intake and use both fans to exhaust? Or keep intake and add another fan on the side to exhaust? Thanks in advance.

New setup with proper ventilation coming this week.

Changes:
Bigger "grow box"
5 PC fans (3 exhaust 2 intake)
Going to look for mylar emergency blankets if not, will paint flat white.
12 - 26 watt CFLs (2700k flower)
8 - Undecided watt CFLs (6500k veg)

Strain changes:
2 - Skunk #1 - Flying Dutchmen
2 - Grapefruit Krush - Emerald Triangle

Plan:
Veg for 2 weeks then switch to 12/12. LST as soon as possible. Using Happy Frog fertilizer with basic potting soil with nothing added but perlite. For flower I'll be using FP from BMO and continued use of Happy Frog for micros and to keep N in check until no longer necessary.

Hope to have everything put together in a few days, then a test run to check for ANY issues I may encounter. Pictures will follow a successful test. Any tips, suggestions, criticism, all is welcome.

Anyone think this is a good idea...

Taking 6 of the 26 watters and replacing them with 4 - 45 watters? Thinking it may reduce the heat a little and 2 less bulbs means a little more space. Waiting to get paid today then going out to get everything.

IMO, you only really need about 100W per plant. And as far as your Seedlings not surviving, you have my sincerest apologies. I would probably try in something along the size of a solo-cup, that way it can grow up a little before you have to transplant. More room for roots, the stronger and faster your Buddies will grow. No need to fert for the first 2 or 3 weeks IMO

12 bulbs is gonna be a lil overkill in that size of a container. Like the poster above said, you only need about 100 watts per plant. Also, I'd go with flat white over the emergency blankets - less heat spots will form and it won't insulate as much of the heat.

Thanks for the reply SnatchNgrabya14.

Yea I'm going to go with solo cups (I said dixie before didn't I?) again, but with no ferts at all. Only vegging for 2 weeks maybe 18 days, seen good results at 18 days before. I'll have close to 400 watts, almost equal to 100 per plant. Couldn't find any mylar emergency blankets, so I'll have to go flat white. Going out tomorrow to pick up the dresser type deal I'm goin' to use. Hoping to have the seeds in the soil by this weekend.

Thanks gingerbuddha.

The little container is out, getting a new box to grow in tomorrow. I'll have 4 plants and somewhere between 360-380 watts total, almost 100w per plant. And yea, have to use flat white, couldn't find the blankets.
