they are growing like crazy but i still cant tell the sexes..they are prolly about 6-8 weeks old

i've recently put them on a 12/12 for about a week..how much longer should it be b4 they show sex?

this is my first grow,i didnt know that the plants grew 2 become so massive..because of that, will it be a problem that they are all in the same pot?

ill upload pix soon

it'll probly be awhile still... but they will show you sex when they are ready, to be technical, they will show when they "are sexually mature".

6 - 8 weeks old since they sprouted? or since you have started to flower them?

if its since they sprouted, then you have a long while. i hope you have patience.

If you have been under 12/12 for a week now, you could see sex as early as 2-3 more weeks. just kinda depends on genetics. As for all the plants being in the same pot, How big is the pot??? A marijuana plant loves pot space. A good rule is try to allow 1 gallon of root space for every foot a plant grows. I.E if you have a 5 foot plant a 5 gallon pot should be enough.

1. they should show sex in the next week or so, depending on strain.
2. this is a problem with few good solutions. if you leave them there they will get rootbound and you won;t have any yield to speak of. if you try and repot you will seriously damage their root systems as they have probably grown together. in your position i would keep waiting for sex, then see how big a problem you have with females only. kill the males by cutting them down, not pulling them out. then you probably need to try and transplant so you end up with each plant in its own 3 gallon pot.

best of luck

Get all them plants in seperate pots. What's going to happen is all those roots will tangle with one another and effect the growing process. Remember one plant, one pot.

don't just pull them out cut the males like dessertrat said pick the best two females cut all but those two let it dry out a bit and gently roll the side of the pot your gonna want to turn it upside down to get the dirt out hopefully it will stay in one peice set it down gently on roots and cut in half with a big knife and transplant into 3 gallon pots that will min any stress.... but the plants will be stunted..... if you have two females far apart they'd be good canidates hope that helps a bitbongsmilie they will recover or just leave two in one pot but that will minamize potential yeild to cramped:eyesmoke:

depends on the strain , some strains that take about 10 weeks from start to harvest will take longer to show their sex compared to a plant that takes 6 /7 weeks from start to harvest. if your woried about doing harm when seperating them take clones off of each plant and let the plants you took clones off of to recover then trans plant them so if any thing goes wrong and they die you'll still have the clones
