U people are making it more work than it has to be though...his temps are only 80-85 degrees...only slightly high. If he gets a better exhaust fan it will pull a lil bit more hot air out...just enough to cool the room to where he wants it. If I can cool a 14x8 room with six 600watt hoods with just exhaust fans he can easily cool this room with them as well.

I think you might want to look into a better/different brand of bulb.
I have a 400w MH that runs hotter then a 600 watt MH. I love the out put but I can't work the lights like I normally due because of the extra heat.
I LST so I like by bulbs as close as I can get them.

Right now I am cooling a 5x5x5'6 flower tent with a 1000w raptor connected to a 4x8x6'6 flower with 2 8'extra sun 600watt hoods with a standard 440fcm fan/blower. The room it self is 9x12.

I run about 80 all lit up.

Just cut a hole in the ceiling and vent all out air that way and use the whole room and make it into a better and bigger. have a 10x6 bloom, a 4x10 veg, and closet for clones. you could add another 1k and pull quantity and quality depending on your temps in the room and nutes you use

ok.. i have a 1000w, easy cool hood 6", 6" 424 cfm fan.

I tried to setup in a bathroom and vent the 6" inline out the bathroom exhaust. No bueno, hit temps up to 90 degrees.. so i tried venting it into the bedroom, temp went to 86, but jesus that fan is loud and it was hard to sleep.

so plan F comes.

I am going to frame out a 4x4 grow "tent" and line the walls with 6 mil poly in my spare bedroom. I am going to run the 1000w with the fan exhausting hot air into the bedroom. I am then going to add a 10000 btu window style AC unit into the tent, then exhaust that in the bedroom also. I completely built out my bathroom just to have it fail, so i figured i would ask some opinions. See attached preschooler drawing! :wall::wall::wall:

to be completely honest you CAN grow with temps of 90, i know everyone acts like its the worst thing in the world you can do but i had to move my grow cabinet from the garage (79f w/ lights on) to my bedrooom, (90-91f w/ lights on) and to be completely honest the plants arent acting different in the least bit, or curling or stretching or anything, ofcourse if i had my choice it would be cooler but fuck it, and if you already have your bathroom all decked out its atleast worth a shot IMO, but i dunno, im pretty unorthodox, to me, its a beautiful plant but, its just a plant and sometimes they grow where its 95+ outside, ...thats just me, either way, good luck bro!

A bigger exhaust fan will do nothing if it isn't exhausting it anywhere. Look at his setup. His plan is to exhaust into the room that his tent is in, which will then be pulled back into his tent because his intake is that same room. Think about it, it isn't exhausting anywhere, just making a big circle. And his temps were 80-85 WITHOUT the AC running. He will have the light AND AC continually putting off heat, and he will only be circulating it around the same place. And besides, its not making it harder at all, its just moving the AC. That way there is some kind of real exhausting going on.

i have two 20lb co2 tanks so i will be making this a sealed grow with co2. I have an open door that releases the hot air. I will be getting about 10' of ducting to put it out the door.

Thanks for everyones input!
