what i meant was if it was dropped on the leaves a while ago it could have spread a bit after the burn spot was created. But yes Tom. That was my first instinct too. That is why i asked if he was sure there wasnt a stray hopper or caterpillar in there. I assume if he says there are none than there are none. Its possible it could have been a smaller spot on both sides of the vein and over time it browned up to the vein and fell off. But that is a rather young leaf for this to have happened.
