very nice..did U ever happen to get that construction journal up? Im just curious to see which is more expensive, aero or hydro....Im just thinking..out here we call weed that was grown in soil "dirt weed", if its grown hydroponically its "dro" or "hydro" but what is the street slang for aeroponics?

Not sure. Dirt weed here means some street mexican red hair brown weed. Just a dirt bag probably has seeds in it. Dro was an old term havent heard it in awhile.Lotta people refer to hydro or aero here as "Goodie Good". I havent put the manual up yet I have most of it written up but I was gonna make a second setup since I dont have many step by step pictures and could get them by building a second setup.Should I post without step by step pics?

Do you have any suggestions for building an aero set-up that could fit in a mills pride cab? I'm doing DWC right now and thought be a nice step up:)

Its a pure indica strain. It was dubbed"Ohio Player" some 20 plus years ago as it was thought to have been first been grown in Ohio someplace. Its very very strong citrus type of smell and smoke. I know only 5 others who have this strain anymore and I had to plead my case for 2 years to get me a clone. This stuff is big and resiny. We used to smoke a bowl each of the buds at a friends house and he would have like 4 hospital grade air filters running leave for 2 hours come back and when you open the door to the house it was like someone punched you in the face with the smell that was still there. Its a real heavy body buzz nice tingly and your lips get black with resin when you smoke it. Its my favorite I have ever had.Its crazy. Usually it's always been done ebb and floow (flood and drain) but Im the first to do it aero. The others usually got about 6-13 oz per plant so Im curious what I get in a high speed system with lower height plants. We will see when the story is done being told.

This is an impressive thread FF, really interested to see a tutorial on how to make an aero setup, as I want to try one (smaller scale) in a closet grow, but haven't got the foggiest idea of how the things work!

Ok been a minute since last post so I am going to show what these plants looked like at day 19 in the aerosetup. This would be day 19 and the first day going into 12/12. The plants hit from 16-18 inches and I dont wanna wait any taller as this should keep me around the 3-4 foot finished height I want.I have begun nutrient switch over now adding my Fox Farm Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom. My feeding schedule is faster then the Fox Farm Chart so at 3 weeks Im actually starting the week5-6 feedings as I plant to be done at week 9 or 10 total grow. These got a good misting of sensa-spray which is a direct female hormone extract to increase bud sites and flower sizes.Nute solution is brought up to 1350-1400 ppm and the ph is being kept between 5.8-6.2 at this point.Only had 1 issue so far and that was I opted not to put screen over my drain as figured roots would wad up on it and clog well roots are now about 3-4 long and I had 1 drain get filled with roots and caused a small overflow but I happened to be checking when it happened so I was able to correct it for now. Will see if this contunes to be an issue.Ok couple quick shots of the first day lights will be going into 12/12..

Filthy,

They look great. That is some fast growth!!! Can't wait to see how they bud. How long is this strain supposed to flower for?
I was just wondering, what exactly did you use for those white rectangular tubes that surround the pvc and hold the net pots?

2 part question with 2 part answer lol.Well this strain in flood and drain setups usually flowers in 5-6 weeks so I am hoping to better that to 4-5 weeks but we will see.Im actually gonna post pictures of them in day 3 of 12/12 later.I gotta wait til I can get over to them and grab a few shots. The actual chambers are just good old pvc fence posts. Each end has a fence post cap siliconed on and sealed.I swear Ill get on the directions but basically.I got 4 pvc fence posts 2 end caps per post.Inside I cut a piece of 1/2 in pvc pipe used pvc cemeant and put a cap on 1 end of a 61" piece of pipe and a 90 degree elbow on the other end. Then I drilled all the holes for the net pots using a 3 inch hole saw drill bit. Then at the very end of 1 side of the fence posts drilled a hold just a bit bigger then the 1/2 inch pvc pipe.I cut a 5 1/2 inch piece of pvc pipe stuck it through the hole in top of the fence post down into the 90 elbow on the mister line in the chamber.Put pvc cemeant on it to seal it if you want I left this part unsealed put pushed them good and tight in case mister get messed up you can get the line out.The holes for the net pots I forget right off hand the oncenter spacing but just evenly spaced 7 per chamber. On the bottom of the post on the same end you have the 90 degree elbow I drilled a half inch hole for my 1/2 inch drain fitting. This may alll sound out of order but Im high and tired so Ill do better.BAck to the pipe sticking up out of the top of the pvc fence post.I got some 1/2 pvc "T" fittings cemenated them to the pipe sticking up then cut some 1/2" pvc pipes about 7 inches and glued then between each T on each chamber. When you get to the end chamber I used a 90 degree elbow to end that side and on the other end Iadded a 4 inch piece of pvc then a drain valave to be able to drain the res via hose. Now I almost forgot. In the very middle of the 4 chamber manifold the T in there will need to be a 1/2 inch T with threads on the opening facing down as you will have to screw a 1/2 hose adapter on right there as thats the water in from the pump. This is crap but it gives you a quick loook Ill work later tonight to see what I can post up.

Ok back for a quick update I am going to post a few pics to see if I can give an accurate view of of they look. This would be day 23 since clones went into the setup and now day 4 of 12/12 lighting.Growth jump in first couple days was impressive Id say at least 6-8 inches in height and almost a 1/3 increase in diameter. The co2 injection is in full swing and the setup is useing 3 400 watt lights fro flowering,Introduced the tiger bloom and upper nutes to about 1400 ppm and ph is hanging around 5.9-6.2 range. Plants are roughly 24-36 inches tall right now so I may top out little higher then I wanted with these but I allowed an extra 12-14 inches of height room just for this reason.Ok enough said here comes a few pics of th indicas in thier action..

Well here we are now day 26th since the babies went into the homemade aero setup. Its now the first full week of 12/12 lighting with constant co2 injections during lights on time.Im hopeing the growth spurt slows soon as I basically planned for 3-4 foot finished plants started them in to 12/12 at 16-18 inches and have hit 42 inches now in the first week of flower.Im pretty much raising the lights everyday. Its been good though I have been able to keep my 400 watt lights about 8 inches from the tops with no heat issues at all actually feel nice to the back of the hand.Room temps range from about 63-81 right now but average around 76 degrees F.Im running the feed cycle from the foz farm feeding chartand this following week will just top with fresh water fills no nutes to flush plants once and get the res for a fresh wtare update and new feed mix of the grow big, tiger bloom, and big bloom.Im have now fallen into the crowd of going for a molassas trial this roun versus the usual sweet or carbo load.I want to see what the black strap can do and will start that feed after the next full week running it for a 3 week feed. The ppm is about 1200 right now,PH is at 6.2 res water temp is at 72 hitting roots at aboyt 65 degrees.Roots in chambers seem to be about 5-8 feet long per plants. They are trying to push the end caps off the setup which is pretty amazing considering the amount of sealent and glue I used on the end caps and tiny root hairs have found thier way out which by the way causes drips lol.Still amzed at rate of growth and think maybe next time around I will only veg 7 days after rooted clones versus the 2 weeks this round about went.Think tossing them 12/12 at 12-14 inches may keep the height closer to what I wanted of 3 1/2-4 feet.Anyways heres some new pictures and Ill toss in a quick pic of my Truncheaon wand which does ppm, ec, cf and such also a shot of one of my ph pen meters for fun.

I tried to take a closer picture of what the top colas are starting to look like as they take form but when I get close under the hps the red effect kicks in but anyways heres a top of 1 of the plants at the current day 26 in the unit.

Ok and in this last post of the day I thought a quick reminder of the difference from clone to day 1 in setup to day 26 would be a nice review.Ok I will have to load 2 pics then 1 pic after as they are too bigg for one post.So what you see is the clones at day 2 clone and then day 1 in the aero setup which at that times the plants are total 10 days old from the day I cut them as clone.Next post will show day 26 in the aero as the pics were to big to post all together.
