Monotub is the way to go. Hell they even have reasonably priced kits online, and when you consider that as stated just above, most growers are hitting 4 oz minimum. $200 rounded way up for some spores, an overpriced kit you can do at home for a fraction, to net 4-8 oz of dried mushies? I wish it was that easy when I first started lol.
Lol, and for those a little more adventurous, you can also find a sheet of 1P-LSD or a similar analog (AL-LAD for example) for half that price.. All clearnet stuff

Bro read!! I said turkey trays not a mono tub you know the 12" x 6" trays?? I put six in 3 in the bottom and 3 on a rack above I can get 12 ounces every 2 weeks.. when i put them in my 4 tear green house i can get 3 trays a tear, do the math homie. Don't talk about weak to me kid iv been doing this for 6 years bro. I can get way more with smaller amount of space then any 2 or 3 Mono tubs, they are big and if you don't put them in a real clean area you could end up just wasting 3 months of your life. Belive me iv grown more wight then I'm sure you wight soaking wet with all your clothes on and steel toe boots.

Yes you spend more.than $20 cause its not like your.going to.get just 20 cups of grain, or.just enough poly film for 2 tubs. But when you break it down to how many tubs can.be spawned from 100lbs of grain, large box.of.poly film etc, it's.cheap as fuck.
Yea 2 mins a day when you only run a few tubs at a time. When you.run 20 tubs at a time and are keeping up with the grain spawn so you can.move.in.New tubs as soon.as the fruiting tubs are done, working on.isolates with agar, then it's much more than a couple mins a day. Just.harvesting 20 tubs takes a couple days by yourself.

In the end, yes OP, you can use a simple pot and lid with PF style jars to produce small scale but easily personal (for those of us with 50+ hour a week jobs and life occupying our time) quantities of mushrooms for yourself. That said, you can easily scale it up; many of the components required you can find pasteurized and ready to go on the net for reasonable price..
Just like cannabis, mushrooms are extremely easy to grow, set and forget type of thing almost. It's a fun project for those interested. Hell New Mexico made it legal to grow and possess small amounts of FRESH psychedelic mushrooms a couple months back.

You could get a 16 quart metal pot and steam the already cooked seed and coir with vermiculite all together let sit to cool enough to cover the top with plastic wrap in duct tape it to the pot put some pieces of micropore tape on the plastic then take it to your bathroom or small room like closet noc that shit up threw the tape and keep like that till all white get it another week and cut fan replace.I have done it as an experiment. It's hard but possible!

My buddy years ago had a crazy idea. We wanted to rent a climate controlled storage unit, and get several 55 gallon drums. The plan was to grow vast quantities of goodie-rich mycelium in essentially large vats of liquid culture. Then dehydrate and extract or use directly in chocolates.
