Required support really depends on genetics. My BDxTOG is super lanky. It would be flopped all over the ground already of it didn't have the trellis. Some varieties need very little support if any at all.
I always have a 5 ft tall x 3 ft diameter remesh cage for each plant. When they start getting over 9 ft tall I often put in T posts and put inch and a half PVC pipes over them, to tie off to for extra support. I have had wind and rain break off colas in late flower.

Mine are streching now also..
Hay, Two pa, I’ve seen pictures of your grow and like the way you do things so I’m going to ask a “will it work” question.
I have a long garden we call Jaba The Quanset Hut.
49F19A5B-04E1-4EF4-AC1C-565E16D49101.jpegThe plants are Amnesia Haze and some are over 8 feet tall.
I’m thinking of maybe trying to build my next grow into SCROG. Right now there are 5 plants. If I put 5 or 6 plants close to each side I might be able to fill a 40 long 7 foot high SCROG. There would be enough room inside to do the under the screen work and until gets high like on top won’t be bad.

What do you think? Will it do good or am I just to stoned to see what I’m asking?

The only thing i dont like about horizontal growing is its just dont seem narural to the plants.as in stress fatigue..but i see my friends vertical grow and know that i cant do a 15ft plant 2 miles from downtown. It will grow a lot side ways using nets. Wether it grows more or not is hard to tell. Remember.the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

I like the way your set up is..like a hog wire cavern. I think it will work nice..skunk grow has 30ftx5ft nets

Actually, this would be a vertical grow. I see this as plants growing their tops thru the fence and be woven in just like a SCROG. Inside would look like under the screen on a SCROG.
I don’t want to work that hard just to get started so if it does the grandkids can do it. I just think it would be fun having something like that.

That will work good..the fence holds the colas..do you top your plants?

Normally, yes I top but but early on when topping should start I was making RSO for two friends. One was a very rush job. She was getting close to stage 3 of leukemia. The doctors sent her home with NO hope. A couple weeks ago they said she was STABLE! She’s 80 yo.

The other is 66 yo woman with lung cancer. There again the doctors couldn’t treat her because of COPD and emphema. One week before the 80 yo was said to be stable the 66 yo was pronounced STABLE.

The plants didn’t get topped but this has been a good year.

I didn’t mean to get into that.

That pic looks great! Looks like they are supported and have lots of air flow. I think it is essential to have as much air flow as possible growing outdoors, to prevent mold and disease. Partly why I don't top outdoor. Your set up looks pretty ideal as it is to me.

I was just thinking of what it would look like. Picture a 40 foot SCROG covered with bud.

Man, I’ll say there’s airflow. We had a big wind couple of days ago. We thought it was going to distroy things but no damage. There is a thread going on now about wind damage. That guys plants, when I saw the picture…

Side topic, but where did you get your Dosi? Greenfire genetics has a Dozizoz.
I found it at a trade show almost 4 years ago from Ethos... Dosi Whoa!... it's Dosido X Ethos Kush RBX4.... can't find it anywhere anymore. I found one really nice pheno back then, and have been running her since. As far as I know, Im the only one running it in Oklahoma.
