Hey fellas I have a question and hopefully it isn't a dumb one. I have a sativa growing that is blueberry by ethos. It is really flowering slowly. I am in late 8th week and was curious if you guys think it looks OK for the 8th week. I am asking because I usually grow indica dominant plants and they are done by week 11 or 12. It's fine. Sometimes they can be slow.

I've seen a pure sativa from India look like it's barely throwing pistils at 16 weeks. At 24 weeks, it still wasn't as far along as yours.

Alright thank you my friend. I have never had one take this long to start turning. I mean everything is right as far as environmentals go but she is just taking her sweet time.

my experience with sativa and the long grow time is by the end of the grow the yield has produced so much more with a plant going 16 plus weeks its like having 2 plants yield but in a lighter airy buds. Nice trade off for an uplifting buzz vs couch lock indica helpless thingy lol. super silver haze was one like that.

Fellas I really thought that the major heat was passed us after the beautiful weekend that we had. This week is going to be brutal once again. I really feel for you guys that are outdoor growers. Hope you guys have heat resistant strains going.

Oddly enough I do... this outdoor Big Detroit Energy and Cancer Blaster are loving the triple digits!.... no signs of heat stress. Gonna be a great crop!

Good to hear that you will have a good crop. I am hoping for about 8 oz off of the one I have going. I wish I would have started 4 instead of 1. This sativa lady is driving me nuts with her lackadaisical ( hope I spelled and used that big word correctly) approach to flowering.

Is it just me or am I correct that it seems that the sativa strains do not put off as much weight? I say that because this lady I have is not near as dense feeling nor has it stacked out the way the indicas I have grown do. Granted this is my first sativa grow and probably my last. I think I will stick to my indicas that are tried and true

Yeah man, I really expected these two strains to fall out due to the heat, but they are green from head to toe!... maybe its because they're in a compost pile, IDK, but they are trees!.. 11 ft tall. Flowering out nicely, I don't have any support for them, but hopefully, they will finish ok.

It's really pheno dependent. Some will dominate from the same pack of seeds, and other will die on the vine. I've documented this with very accurate studies from mothers. But, yeah,.... 50/50 hybrids seem to do better than 70/30 sativa doms.... just my experience anyways.

You just gave me an idea. I will try some 50/50 strains and see what happens. Gives me a good reason to tell the wife that I need to buy more seeds. Lol. I have more seeds than I can grow in the next few years but seeds are like weed to me, you can never have enough.

Just remember to document if you have the room. Grow a pack, clone the mothers, and finish the mothers. You may have to do this cloning till the mothers finish, but lable the mothers till you find a winner. Then clone that bitch over and over again.

I like the way you think. If you remember I converted my 10x12 spare room into a grow room. I wish I had done it this way from the beginning. Because now I have mix match lights and tents. But at least they are all quality lights. I would have fired up my whole grow room but like a dumbass I fell of the ladder and broke my arm while wiring the room and hanging lights, which required surgery. But I am going to get the room fired up when this lady finishes that I am growing now. I do have a question. I have some seeds that say R1 on them and some say F1 on them. What is the difference between the 2? I could research and find out but I figured you guys could explain to me in terms an old grunt like myself could understand.

To save myself from a bunch of typing.... but it really has to do with the generations of a clone type...

Thanks brother I will read up on it. You are always a great source of information. I have some seeds that I want to share with you. I will be sending you a DM here in the next couple of days. They are all feminized so no guess work. What can I say I am lazy and do not like to deal with males. Thanks again
