i had that 1987 SSSC catalogue! it was $5 and came with a white cartoon sticker of a guy pulling an elephant by it's trunk. i even talked to some guy named kees there on the phone, but just wasn't hearing him trying to tell me that skunk #1 would make me as happy as the columbian gold i started out blazing. i wish someone had the catalogue before that one, but haven't been able to find it online. it had about a dozen strains and nothing more sativa than crappy boring skunk #1. it took a few years for gear that actually gets you high for real to make seedbanks. even in the expanded '87 catalogue... pickings were slim. a room mate stole my '87 catalogue when i moved out.
