Old Tea

So I made an AACT tea for my plants a few days ago and fed them. I forgot to clean out my res after, leaving all the gunk and old notes at the bottom, and filled it with water the next morning.. I'm about to water today but is it ok to use this water? It smells pretty bad and don't want bad bacteria to have grown in it and potentially harm my plants. However my normal watering is with tap water thats chlorinated so that should have killed most anything in the res I think?

if it smells like bad ass ..get rid of it...and why are you using chlorinated water...your killing any bennies you gained with the tea....your defeating the purpose of a good tea....

I wouldn't use it. Acts should be used pretty quickly. The smell is most likely some anaerobic microbes.

I get water delivered because don't I have a well. So all my water is city water which is chlorinated. My buddy lends me his ro once a week for teas otherwise I just aerate and let the water sit for 24 hrs. Best I can do until I buy my own ro system

Cleaning your gear between tea runs is pretty important. Soak it in H2O2 if you can.

Toss some H2O2 into the water and aerate it for a bit and until it stops smelling and it will be okay to use.
Edit - actually that will take a lot of H2O2 so may be cheaper just to dump it.
Edit 2 - You'd need at least 1/3 gallon of 35% H2O2, possibly a full gallon to sanitize 250 gallons of water.
