So I have male that's putting out pollen. I'm collecting. I have one female showing a few pistils after a month.
The early male, I'm collecting the pollen. The females stink a bunch even though no buds yet. I'll be pollinating one with the fast male for seeds. I have another male that is taking longer. I'll be saving that pollen as well. I want to save this strain as much as I can.
True sativas are hard to find.

Yeah, I just put some holes in the bottle with a little water, stuck the branches in, and let the pollen fall on the plate I scraped it up and am saving it.
Plus I just made four crosses with the pollen.
I like male cannabis plants. I don't think they're bad. I think they are as desirable as female plants.

Agreed. Pheno hunting males has grown on me recently. This coming from running mainly clones and fem beans with a few bagseeds thrown in here and there.

Purple Haze/Malawi x Oldtimer’s Haze #1-3
Also started a Killer A5 Haze along with these. I plan to hit the Killer A5 with the PHMxOTH backcross and then cross the progeny of that back to the Killer A5 (Neville’s/Nevil’s A5 Haze x Malawi.)
The broader leaves of the first 1-2 nodes is due to the Malawi in the genetics. The first two phenos are producing leaves identical to Purple Highland Colombian. The final pheno is Mexican/Malawi dominant.

So I had a crazy thought and decided to sprout some Ruderalis seeds I made a short time ago. My plan is to get a couple of females and use some of the pollen I've collected from the early male OTH and cross a female Ruderalis with the Old Timers Haze. I'd like to create a sativa/indica hybrid with faster flowering times than what the OTH takes. Finding a sativa dominant pheno that flowers very fast is what I'm hoping to find.

I don't grow auto's either. I just like making crosses to see what I can come up with and since I have the pollen... I also used some of the pollen on a Thai, Hawaiian, Ciskei, and Tikal. It's going to be quite the seed run this grow. When I'll ever get around to growing some out is up in the air. But I do have a pretty good sized list of friends that are more than happy to grow whatever I give them so some will be growing this summer. Most are outside growers so there won't be any constraints on size. I just hope they finish in time before the end of the growing season.

So at about six weeks in the flower tent and they are finally starting to look like they are flowering. These are not going to be harvested for awhile. They'll take another 12 - 14 weeks at least. But I think the wait will be worth it. Not everyone has a 20+ week pure sativa in jars. I can't wait. I have them strapped to the back of the tent to keep them out of the way. I've been supercropping and bending them down. This is not the best strain to grow indoors inside a tent with limited space.

20 weeks but I could have let it go longer. Long flowering sativas like OTH are challenging in a 4x4 tent. Not just because they like to get big but just keeping them healthy that long. I'm probably going to run one again when I start the tent back up in a month or so. It depends on the weather and heat. I made some feminized seeds so I won't have to grow but one to get a female.
I guess a pic IS worth a thousand words.
