Sad....very sad. A good reminder that many olympic sports can be deadly. Those people are packing brass balls/ovaries.

BUT

He did pass doing what he loved and to be honest, If given the choice, I would rather die doing what I love then in some old folks home rotting away.

So much to my shock and horror I go to my local Walgreens to find that on the cover of both the New york Post and the Record (local north Jersey paper), the front page is a picture of this kid seconds away from the impact that killed him. Are we such a macabre society that powers that be fond this a good idea. In the wake of such a tragedy wouldn't a picture of the guy at the starting line been a better choice. My head hangs in shame.

Yeah, I know there are videos but I refrained from looking for them.
The media ghouls seem to love that shit though.
