After getting this light, my plants are the healthiest they have ever looked.
(Please spare me and everyone else the sarcasm/insults.)

I had to tie them up a bunch more! They're falling all over the place, it's pretty sweeeet. These are definitely the densest Purps buds I've grown. Fucking rock hard.

The ladies are getting really solid now. The colas are fucking rock hard, and I mean rock hard! Best Purps crop BY FAR! :D

I wish I could estimate how much I'm going to yield off these two ladies, but I'm really at a loss.

I've been contemplating dropping the temps further at night, but I don't really care that much? lol It's usually around 20C at night in the tent, the effort to bring it down to 15-16C for some bag appeal when I don't sell any of my pot seems kind of like a waste to me. LOL

The purple coloring in buds is actually a backup photosynthesis agent that takes over when chlorophyll dies, but the purple agent isn't as efficient at converting light to energy as its green counterpart.

This has probably been asked before, but what if someone turned their fridge up so it wasn't balls cold and placed a plant in there for it's dark period? Do you think that would give a nice purple color? Have you worked on any other ways to increase color? I love your experiments!!!
If you have posted other methods, just say so and I will go back and read better, lol.

If you had adequate ventilation, and your fridge went up that high, it might work? I'd be worried about a sealed fridge, and then I'd be worried that 'high' on a fridge is like 7 degrees... lol

Lol, I've checked. It's a crappy fridge. Yeah 7C is about right, I will check for sure but I think it gets to be around 10. You think a full sized fridge wouldnt have enough ventilation for the dark period if I took it out for light? I've had plants survive much colder than 7, so do you think a few days at 7 would be harmful? I know this is such a newb idea, lol.

I have been growing some crazy purple plants in warm condition (22-24 light off 27-28 lights on) certain spectrum of light seem to help with this... i agree with beef though, not worth going out of your way just to get purple plants, i find that they lower the bag appeal as they dry.

Genetics have a big part to play as well..... some strains are more naturally disposed to turning purple than others.

Yeah I heard grandaddy purple usually turns purple regardless of temps. I'm guessing certain phenotypes of the purps do as well but you would know more about that than I would at this point lol

Definitely, I've seen a few different purps Phenotypes.... My left bitch is turning more purple than my right bitch.

On my first Purps grow 'The runt' turned almost completely purple. Buds looked amazing on the plant, but as GreenduroX (LOL I love that nickname) said, they tend to lose some bag appeal as they dry.
