sorry man thats not good. they may not really look at anything, but they may go through the whole place.
i would think that they will want to just look in all rooms. if you dont have anyplace to hide all that where they are guranteed not to look then you have to get everything out. do you have holes to patch?
how much time you got until inspection?

I see these kind of posts about once a week, did you not read the rental agreement.I know of no apartment complex or rental that the landlords do not do this.Even where i live in the boonies they do it.OPH

in a purely theorectical state of mind I would think hiring a moving truck transfering everything in big boxes during the dark part of the cycle and running everything on deep cell batteries might just might pull it off for you..theoretically speaking that is...

its more than likely a housing inspection, as almost ALL rentals have to have a once a year inspection to make sure its safe to live in. this includes the fancy circuit in the bathroom, smoke detectors, foundation and other generalized things. with that kinda setup ur more than likely fucked. try to get a time estimate and stick everything in the bathroom, run the shower and say ur GF is over and sick trying to relax in the shower, if they ask what the deal is. they will check the basement if applicable, but the attic isnt necessarily going to be inspected. either way without moving the plants from the location, the bathroom idea or just boxing everything up, are gonna be ur best bets.

omg ty so much guys your info is great i have been brainstorming for a while ....found out that they will be here at a certain day about 3 weeks from now and i have a plan to hide it all in bins that i will stack up in my room and basically when i get done concealing it all it will look like i have a bunch of totes stacked up in the room and stuff ....gonna run the ac in that room also so smell wont build up as i wont have exhuast runnin when they inspectin...

also no holes to patch i have been really carefull in this new place

i have always expected this cause i am a renter so this will be a nice little fire drill for me

ill keep you all posted hehe

and god bless the pill called xanax

Good luck dude. I'm sure things will work out fine. I know you're thinking all your effort has to be protected, but your main priority is not being discovered.

It's probably a hassle for them, and they would probably rather be doing something else, so just be cool and they'll be in and out before you know it.

Funny that you made this thread today, I actually had an inspection today(4th this year):cuss:. I did what I always do, since my plants are in my bathroom which is in my room, I just lock the bedroom door with my key, and leave my place. They can't get into my bedroom since I replaced the knob with my own and I'm the only one with a key. They have not once asked me to come back to check out my room.

Put all your stuff in a room and lock it, and if you live with a roomate tell them that he left and locked the door and you don't have an extra key.

I know someone who just went through the same sort of thing and in one day, he had his whole room taken down.....all plants went into a 1 ton u-haul truck and he had a portable heater in there plugged into another friends house. The room was repainted and all furniture moved back in (a bed, a dresser and some pictures on the walls. They were there for 15 minutes and did look into the room but didn't actually go in. Everything worked out and he was back in operation in another day. Good luck and hope yours works out just as well.

As long as it doesn't smell in your place and doesn't seem like your doing anything illegal, a locked bedroom door isn't going to raise any eyebrows. I also turn off all my equipment the day they come so there isn't any noise coming from my room.

Resurrecting this thread. Have a small grow tent in the attic, not much to break down or move at all. Just curious if I have to keep lights on my tiny guys (24/0) or if they can see darkness for a half day and then go back to schedule? Inspection is for mold in the house. In like a week
