"“The clinical implications of these important laboratory data need to be determined. It is likely that lesser vaccine-induced protection against infection and disease would be the result. Importantly, most vaccinologists agree that the current vaccines will still protect against severe disease and death in the face of Omicron infection. It is therefore critical that everyone should be vaccinated,” said Africa Health Research Institute executive director Professor Willem Hanekom. "

In other words, if you have been vaccinated you will still get Delta, no different with Omicron, you will still get it. Also they do not test a person that has had the two shots and the booster.

My booster appointment is tomorrow morning so I called the county nurse to check on which one I can get, she said I can pick which ever one I want, they are all available through the county. I already have 2 doses of Pfizer so I'm going with a J&J booster. A small study that has been submitted for peer review says that it's a better option than 3 Pfizer doses. Both ways will raise the antibody levels for good protection but with 2 Pfizer doses and a J&J Booster they saw a more robust and longer T cell response. Of course this was submitted before Omicron but Pfizer has come out and said that 3 doses should at least take away the threat of severe illness.
