?On venting thru diy carbon scrubber

Just wondering where most people vent there grows, when using a carbon filter? Do you vent it inside or can you vent it outside? Any help would be apreciated!!:peace:peace man:peace:
 
vent it outside your grow room. make sure its not near your intakes. You can vent outside if you want but a carbon scrubber iwll look dodgy hanging out ya window.

here we go again, you don't have to hang the carbon scrubber outside to "Vent It" to the outside. THe result of dumping that 'warm moist air' into your attic, will either make you sick or make you cry. My wife can explain how she felt about the rain in our family room but her language might be a little rough for this forum. And she agrees that the freezing temperatures did kill the mold, she just doesn't want that shit in her house again, you can have it. and you will if you follow this 'advice'. VV

Thanks VV I KNOW I don't want to listen to my wife if I cause a rain in the house or a bad smell! But I was looking at the DIY carbon scruber in here somewhere and wonder how you vent it outside? Ive been thinking about useing a 6" to a 8" or 10" reducer to put 6" scrubber inside the bigger pipe to chatch the air and vent it outside but would i need 2 fans? one to pull the air out of grow room and thru 6"filter into the larger pipe and another one to push the air on thru larger pipe and outside? I may try to draw this up to help explain what Im thinking Any heelp would be great!!:hump::peace:peace man:peace:
 
If you want to vent the hot smelly air outside just make sure your carbon scrubber is somewhere between the exhaust fan and the exit hole.
 
almost forgot - if you want to run the duct work through your attic (on the way to outside) you should be fine - just don't dump all that hot humid air into the attic - without proper attic ventilation anyway.
 
I am planning on having mine set up like so: Filter hooked to light, to duct with immediate turn up, inline fan, duct to attic, once in attic goes to ac/heat duct to exhaust throughout the house. I figure that will help heat in the winter and help keep it cool in the summer. At least that is my hope.

:evil:Ive been tying to upload a paint drawing to show what i have in mind but Its to big a file. When i try changing the pixel size it only shows part of my drawing. any body know what im doing wrong? I'll keep trying. any body have an idea? Its almost lunch and time to smoke a bowl then i'll be alright:peace:peace man:peace:
 
o ok ,, when u are in paintshop ,, pull up that file & resave it ,,, click *save as* then when that lil box pops up ,, see what different file extensions it offers ,, there should he bitmap , jpg, gif ,,, ,, save it as a jpg ,, then after its saved ,, pull it back up in paintshop & adjust image size ,, & file size
 
id like to see the picture of what you have in mind. I am very confused on the carbon scrubber and how to ventilate my closet!
 
I think I finally got it converted to Jpeg. Had to email it to a freind for help.
The scrubber is the Sheet of carbon kind. I hope this helps I'm not that good at explaining this to clear!:peace:

that will work. you can even eliminate the duct work if you want (fan mounted right inside the grow room attached directly to carbon filter).
 
mine is going filter to light to u-turn heading up into attic to fan then to attic with one more turn in the attic to vent into the a/c and heater ducts. :-)
 
Any body have an Idea if this will work? And if i'll need a fan in the 8" duct to a vent? Any coments are welcome. Thanks to all for the help so far!!!

Thats a good Idea It eliminates some parts and saves some money!
But am wondering If i'll need a fan after the filter Ive got a 20ft run to my vent?:peace:peace man:peace:
