I'm gonna be growing 3-4 plants and i'm planning on putting a jar of 4L Ona Gel Fresh Linen into my cupboard when flowering starts in hope to eliminate the smell.

If 1 jar isnt enough, should i just go with 2 and would i be able to leave it open for around 8 weeks?

Im confused, is the grow in the cupboard? how big are the plants? what strains are you dealing with? answer me these and I think I can help you out.

Dont ever throw Ona anything when you are flowering. The stuff will kill the smell in your buds! Trust me. For a few plants just get an Ona block, you can drill some holes in the lid and or remove it to for more coverage.

Yeha i'll be growing it in a cupboard, they should be medium sized plants in 11litre pots under 250w cfl, strain will be cheese.

Hmmh could i just leave the Ona gel outside my cupboard so that they eliminate the smell and so they wont be near the buds? and would i just leave the ona block in the cupboard all the way throughout flowering?

no...you dont want the block either in your cupbord! it will kill the smell of ur buds! It should be on the outside of your grow room. I put the ona block outside of my room in front of my muffler

A piece of advice on smell i read from someone on here is to put moth balls around. Apparently it works, I haven't tried it yet, but that's a cheap alternative.

I have an Ona block. I drilled 2 holes in the lid, and put it into my exhaust of the cabinet.
Then I use one of these in the room where my 2 cabs are:
http://www.amazon.com/Febreze-04531GM-Odor-Removal-Appliance/dp/B000H0SDD4/ref=dp_cp_ob_hg_title_2
The come with little scented things you can attach to it, I have the Green Meadow scent. I can't smell nothing
but the Green Meadow, and a little of the Ona.

I don't think my odor control would work on a larger grow though.

Putting it into the exhaust works the best bud the other ppl are right it will kill smell of your buds in the room but if you run some duct off of your exhaust fan so that the air that is blowing away from the room runs through the block you would be fin IMO. You can also make a diy carbon filter like the one i have in my tent. There is jus the very slightest smell but way way WAY less than i had before i installed it cost me 22 bucks and some change to make if you want some info on it jus send me a pm or ask me in my thread its in my sig. But i think the ona is good too.. mainly because its all natural aswell no chemicals :)

Thanks for the info Green Inferno. How many plants are you growing btw?
I have 5 small plants in flower, they're about 12" to 18" tall. Probably yield 1/2 oz total.
When I start me next grow, I'll need more odor control, like a carbon filter and maybe an
ozone generator. (I have the oz gen right now, I barely use it though)

I have the Ona block in the active exhaust output, and there is a good exchange of air in the room where the cabs are.
I wont put the Ona's in the cab, I don't want my weed smelling like those.

oh i see, i'm planning on growing 2-3 plants under a 250w blue spec cfl and a 250w red spec cfl in a reflector, hoping to yield an ounce. I'm planning on putting a oscillating fan in to the cupboard so that'll probs cause the smell of the buds to escape the cupboard, hopefully the ona block will eliminate the smell.

How long could i leave it outside of the cupboard? I'm hoping on using it during the drying and curing process since that smells the place up a lot.

You're gonna need some kind of exhaust, fresh air coming in, and stale air removed. Axial fans or PC fans should work for a small area like that.
One of my cabs has a 65 CFM PC fan removing air at the top of the cab, and there is a passive vent at the bottom of the cab. My temps are a
constant 77F/25C. The other cab, I have 9 plants vegging with an LED, I have a 6" duct fan removing the air in that one, and a passive duct on
the bottom. That cab stays a constant 73F/23C. It's a little loud though.

aww shit, i was hoping i wouldnt need a exaust fan, i could just open the cupboard door while the oscillation fan was on.

I can't say if that'd work or not. I'm pretty new to indoor growing. Everything up until about 3 months ago was all outdoors.

I guess as long as there is fresh air in there, you'll be good. But odor control wont be as manageable. That's my guess.

Once you're flowering, and you have your 12 hours dark period, you'll have to keep all light from entering the cab. Light leaks
can stress the plants, and will take longer to finish. If they don't turn into hermaphrodites.

They wont be feminized seeds so they won't hermie and i could just opent he cupboard whenever the lights are on, no biggie :) Only questions is how long should i open the door open each day?

You're going to need a 24 hours per day constant supply of fresh air for the plants. Any plant can hermie. Fem, or regular.

I'd just get an exhaust fan, and make 2 holes in the cab, one passive, one active with a fan, and the active one blowing out.
Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Thermocool-Axial-Cooling-110V-82CFM/dp/B001TJYTTE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1304105152&sr=8-1
Make sure what you do get works with your countries voltage.

Here's a 4 pack of PC fans for pretty cheap. http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-120mm-Silent-Value/dp/B000O8I474/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1304105292&sr=8-8

The more you put into your grow, the more you'll get out of it. If you don't have a regular exchange of air, all you'll do is blow
around hot stale air in the cab, and the plants wont grow as much, if they live.
