Ona odor

Just wondering if anyone has used or or heard of a friend that uses the ona odor control system. It seems promising but don't want to get anything that doesn't work.

Im using one in the living room for the price there pretty good. Just remember this only masks up the smell not gets rid of it like a ozone generator or carbon filter would

I've heard some pretty good things about it. Most odor absorbing gels do a good job of covering the smell, so if you cant find ona, im sure there are other similar products where ever you buy your growing products. The only bad thing I heard about it is that sometimes the smell of it can go in the bud, which isn't to much of a big deal. I think the main factor is how much you are growing and where your growing it.

I think ONA's competition goes by "ODOR KILLER". But I've had good experiences with ONA, so I'd recommend it.

I am speaking from experience. With that out of the way, allow me to share my Ona experience....

I tried it as the only source of my odor control and was quickly disappointed in it. It only masks the smell, and once you are accustomed to it, you can smell right through it, so you have no idea if your guests can or not. By itself, ONA will never completely hide the smell. A good use for it is when you are working in your grow space. Once you open that door or tent and break the negative air pressure, open up your ona and let that stuff smell up your house. It will easily mask your odors for such brief uses. I keep one by the front door too, on the top of a tall hutch. If we get unexpected house guests (it happens), I open the top of the ONA before opening the door.

ALWAYS use a good carbon filter for eliminating the odors you are causing in a grow. I also use ONA AND a small ozone generator. My neighbor does the smell test for me once a week and I always pass now.

ona is a good smelling product but is less then effective in truely covering the orders, you will buy alot of gel or what ever you want to call it and in the end you will find it is a poor cover.

Carbon or ozone provides more masking effect but the carbon fans make alot of noise, and the ozone leaves a unhealthy situation for you

Use it in conjunction with a carbon filter and your are running stealth. The carbon filter will eliminate the odor and the ONA GeL will leave your place smelling like clean linen. Pop open the bucket of ONA before answering the door or having guests over.

Ona doesn't exactly smell like linen... I can't explain it. Lol. I recommend a ozone generator and ona if your growing 2 or more plants. 2 or more plants you should be okay with 2 ona bottles with the caps off, no drilled holes.

yeah, forgot that it totally depends on the size of your grow. Carbon filtration is the only way you can truly be rid of smells.

And yeah, I don't think fresh linen smells exactly fresh linen, but is still great. Makes the house smell clean at least.

I have a small garden, 1 meter. ONA does a good job at keeping the odors from being suspicious. It covers up the basic grow smell during the day when the garden is sleeping. At night the smell is stronger but I don't have to worry about it as much then. I have it set up with a small fan. Although it does a good job it shouldn't be your only source of odor control. Also, the Pro has very little odor, while the normal line has an extremely strong odor. My first bottle was the regular kind and the smell was so strong that it itself became suspicious IMO.

I bought a container of Ona Gel Pro as I am only running a few plants in a 3.5 x 3.5 x 7.5. After a few weeks into flowering I realized that it was not going to handle the job. I bought a carbon filter and put it inside the tent, and although I have great negative pressure, I can still barely smell the plants, but after putting the Ona next to the exhaust, it is pretty safe now.

Sounds like a good setup. Always best to play it safe.
