once again weird deformation of seedling [pics]

It could be something with the strain? What strain is it and is it the only one with a problem? Do you let the soil dry before you water again. It could be drowning and killing the roots. Looks pretty wet.

i guess im not being too orthodox about this, but its in the bottle right, and the bottle i have holes on the botom and sides, for good aeration. i also have a syringe i got my school chem lab nd i inject 2.5 mL of water into the middle every day or so. could over watering cause the deformation in the leaves.

as for strain. i have no clue. i got the seeds off a friend who lad like 50 of them laying around. some were crushed and etc. bagseed is what they call this i assume. its regs to my knowlege.

yeah dont inject water ,just water when you pick the pot up and it feels light, remember this plant is a weed it likes to dry out a little it s not a garden flower.

Soil, container (pot), lights, water, and air.
If any one or a combo of those are wrong then your little seedling is going to let you know.

- Wrap the plastic container with something black not tin foil.
- If you can, get a real pot.
- Your soil from your garden may have all sorts of toxins and pathogens in it from previously planted veggies. What you need is seedling mix soil till it breaks out of its nappies. Seedling mix potting mix has all that seedlings need to survive in them, which is very little.

If you cant get a hold of seedling soil then go for some soilless potting mix that is not bark based, but rather is peat based that has no fertilizer in it <= that bit is CRITICAL.

Then look around for an organic rooting product like rhizotonic or the myriad of other brand versions, which will help stimulate root growth in your seedlings. Mix the Rhizotonic at about 4 mils per litre during seedling phase, and then back to 1 mil per litre after that. Normally your seedling wouldnt need it, but its in need of a bit of help by the looks of it.

In the end it will survive. but you can tell pretty much from the pic it is not liking its environment.

Its stretching, which can be normal depending on the strain, but those are the components to look at.
