one ballest w/2 lights

i guy told me he had a 400w system that would run 2 bulbs at the same time. You can even run 1 hps and 1 mh if you wanted. I looked for more info on this w/o success. Dude said the ballest was like 400 bucks. Anyone got input on this??

here is a nice Lumatek dual digi ballast, can run two 600 W Hps/MH at once. $442. In the pull down menu select the dual 600 240 Ballast

Souns pretty cool but too much money for me. I can get a 400w MH light for $135 with a HPS conversion bulb for about a $100 or less. $235 all together. The hps will put out a little less than the 400watts the mh will but for a $200 savings it is worth it to me. Just a thought.
