One Cross Seed Bank

Too many new strains are being put out by seed banks these days for there to be any work involved. I for one wouldn't buy these seeds due to the fact that most of wats being released almost anyone couldve made these crosses. Every other week there's a new hybrid then when I see its genetic background I just laugh. Telling myself, " I could've made that cross in my backyard." Funny how the seed business is run these days. Subcool once said, that a worked strain was better before it was worked. And that he'd rather go and find the clone of a certain strain than to buy the seeds and go thru a pack to fine said mother. After I heard, I lookd at his catalog and noticed something's. then I lookd at Cali's Connection, DNA's and everyone else's. Almost All one cross seed banks.

A "single cross" is another name for an F1 hybrid. When two IBLs are crossed the F1 hybrid, or single cross, is the result. This type of cross has the most uniformity and hybrid vigor which makes it the best choice for the home gardener

No disrespect but I can't see no uniformity in any new strains that's out right now. If each strain has seven different phenos, where's the uniformity u talked about.

i am asking for your definition of a single cross. i gave you mine as i have learned it from the breeding section. that is why i asked for clarification.

There's a difference between poly-hybrid F1's and ibl F1's. one is what you'd call a true f1 and the other is wat I call a poly-hybrid. true F1s are more homogeneous which is two different IBL's crossed to make seeds and the one cross seed companies take a poly-hybrid mother and cross her to anything with a so called big name. Then six to seven months they release the seeds.
