One exhaust fan, 2 tents?

So I have 2 tents 36"x20"x63" intended for a smaller flowering chamber that are side by side (don't ask, space constrictions, stealth etc). I want to have a carbon filter in both obviously, but do I truly need one fan PER tent? Couldn't I just put a Y on the fan and pull in from both tents? Would like to get some opinions for the best option.

With carbon filters you need to pull the air through them rather than push the air.
If you used a y splitter on both tents you would need to suck the air from the tents and push it through one carbon filter, in such situation the smallest hole would leak smells.
When we pull the air from the tent, through the carbon filter and out of the fan we make a negative preassure in the tent so no smell can leak even if there is a hole it wouldnt leak a smell because air has already gone through a carbon filter.
BUT THERE IS A WAY, and it comes with its own problems, set the carbon filter up in the tent as usual (sucking the air out) and use some ducting from the bottom of the tent to the other and switch on.

You will need a good carbon filter and good fan because all the humidity ect from the tent without a filter will flow into the tent with a filter, but if you get things dialled in right it should work, but you may find yourself replacing carbon filters so often you might aswell just throw one in each, preference really.

If you use an oversized fan and filter in the tent closest to the exit you could draw air from the other tent without a fan.
If you don’t already have a fan I’d suggest an ac infinity t6

An 8in pulling 2 tents wouldn't be bad. I wouldnt push the filter too long though. Just to be safe.

I see what you're saying...hmm those look really promising. I definitely need quiet, low noise?

Super quiet
You can usually find a discount code online and just order it from them direct.
Keep in mind it also has its own monitor so it does everything. One 6” in one tent will easily exhaust both tents worth of air.
good luck
