Hey all. Coming to your beautiful state Jan 31 to the 3rd. Just was hoping I could get some inside info where to stay. motel and a place to eat. Was thinking of staying at courtyard at Denver tech. Or denver stapleton. Hoping i can get a indoor pool. What should I avoid? Thanx for your time. Jreven.

Hey, man. Any of those places are ok to stay in. DTC(denver tech) is a lot more business/office's place. Stapleton will put you near the heart of Denver.... GL with your stay..

What other info do you want exactly? There's plenty of shopping/dining/entertainment around stapleton. It's still pretty new, and continues to grow...

Avoid anything near Colfax?

I wouldn't stay in dtc, that's mostly hotels for businesses and company what not.. Colfax has a bad rap but it's not that bad, I wouldn't stay along there, but it's def worth driving down and stopping in a few places, there are good bars and many of Denver's best music venues strung along miles of colfax.. Stapleton isn't far from downtown so that might be a great place to explore around... My fav place to eat downtown is prob this place called bd's Mongolian BBQ, but vista dipping grill is up there too if u don't mind paying a little for a meal.. It's all super easy to get around downtown, a free shuttle runs along 16th street.. Enjoy your stay and have a blast!!! Pm if u have any questions

Dont stay on colfax but you have to tour colfax. From the east side in aurora all theway out to golden you get a little bit of everything if you cruise the whole stretch. Also some of COs best head shops are along colfax. Just dont trust the prostitutes and you will have a blast!!

The super 8 on Quebec street is cheap and the rooms are so so. The other less expensive hotel is right next to Quebec and I 70. Both are in the heart of Stapleton. Super 8 is close to lots of places to eat. Country Buffet, Panara, MC D, Arby's, Buffelo Wild wings ect. Both have smoking rooms but no indoor pool. The more expensive hotels will probably have indoor pools but might have no smoking rec/med weed policies in the hotels. There are two other big hotels but they are more expensive.

thanks guys. a friend of a friend told him today that the weed in the shops is mid at best. hes says there is alot of show and no go. this guy lives in the springs. i told him not to believe that, and we will score some killer shit. now ive never been to colorado nor have i ever smoked dispensery herb. does the quality really differ that much from shop to shop? thanx again. for all your input.

Quality can very drastically it will depend on how many shops are recreational by the 31st (probably like 20 shops) as those will be your only options. How much is available might effect the quality you can score, none of the shops really know how much demand they will have and supply could be short for a while until the market stabilizes. Don't be surprised if you walk into a shop and see jars of shake, understand that the shops are commercial businesses and may cut some corners too... let me put it this way I live here, rent a warehouse for seed production which gives me access to cheap warehouse herb and I still have my home grow because i'm picky... so depending on what you consider "killer shit" you could be happy or disappointed.

time will tell how it goes. i hope it works out great for colorado.

Before moving here I stayed at the doubletree in Aurora, got a great price, smoking room, flower, edibles, and bho delivered to the door from CL(Don't do that!!! Just sayin that's what I did as an out of stater at the time).

I also stayed at the Quality-Inn Denver central while waiting to move into my house. DO NOT DO IT, WAS A NIGHTMARE. But had smoking and I could have my large dog.

MUST visit Illuzion Glass. Best shops: The Clinic(Has rec now), Pink House, RiverRock... Trill in boulder is good, so are some others, I've not been out that way enough yet to say off the top of my head.

I just saw on the news that all the dispensaries are running out. What are the laws for them obtaining their supplies? Do they have to supply their own, or can they get it anywhere?

Well the have to supply 90 % of there own the other 10 % has to come from a registered grow or registered store .

The black market is a total craps shoot, if that's what your asking about.

And by the time you come I'm sure there rec market will be better, lots of shops opening in the coming weeks.

Just check out weedmaps.com for which shops are 21+, look at the menus, and even compare the 21+ menu to the mmj menu(they are listed as two separate things on weedmaps. ie. The Clinic Colorado is the mmj, The Clinic 21+ is the same place but with rec menu and prices. That'll give you something to do every day, and I can guarantee you'll start to see more product make it's way from the mmj menu onto the 21+ one.

I was at the Clinic today, they said they've been stupid busy but was finally slowing down this afternoon, prob cuz of the weather. There were maybe 20-30 peeps in line, I was happy to walk right past them all and go in and get mah meds.

They said absolutely no worries about mmj supply and pricing, and had the usual top notch selection,(although only had 3 kinds of nug run budder, sometimes they have 15 different, sometimes only a few).

They were seriously limiting the variety of strains for the recreational people, and only offering one of their tip top strains at $75/eight, rest were $55. And they were selling budder on the rec side to but very limited and 60/g and selling out super fast.

Yea I feel ya, and no problem, I've only been here 5 months so I'm still giddy about it all, lol.

I don't think your likely to find anyone on the forum willing to help out but who knows.

Only other advice is get on that CL and just start lookin, MMJ is the keyword. In your shoes I'd not bother but I did have semi good luck when i came here in the summer, and all the peeps were cool as hell too, but never know with CL, could be cops or worse.

Someone said something like this in another thread but... I got edibles and offered wax from 4 young thugs in an suv, honeycomb from a young hippy couple from the mid west, flowers from a big black rasta guy delivered to my hotel room, etc, etc. lol.
