Women are self conscious.
The labia can stretch over time from wear and tear or can be long due to genetics. It can make the pussy look like it has seen alot of dicks. Also one side could be longer than the other, or it could be discolored... so on and so on.
Some women will go to extremes to feel attractive.

I needed plastic surgery to remove a cyst, I was put on an 8 month waiting list...I'm thinking there must be a lot of nipping and tucking going on for him to be that busy. It kind of pissed me off at the time because it leaves us natural women feeling like we can't measure up against someone with a ton of alterations. Then again, I also see how a persons self esteem can be greatly damaged if that person is being passed up because of a feature others find unattractive, such as a huge nose or large overbite (which I see all the time). I've seen people who completely transformed themselves after having surgery to extend or reduce their maxilla or mandible (upper/lower jaw). They became more confident, so who am I to judge? But I really don't like standing next to miss fake double D's when I'm out.

My left labia is a little bit longer than the right.
My labia was nice and short before I married. Like a 1/4 down to an 1/8. Now it is more like 3/8 to 1/8.

I'm not one to pass judgement let alone my opinion {unless asked for} when it comes to how people feel about themselves, the mind is a very finicky thing when it comes the id, ego and super-ego. So if someone wishes to alter their image for a better self who am I to stand in the way.

its those 2 weeks after that are the worst, all the movement and contact that occurs to the what once was(is at that time) sensitive head gets the brunt of it, its not comfortable in the least. i saw my bro's after they got their's done in their early teens, they couldn't walk right for a week or two.

I mean I saw an article in the paper today featuring many talented pretty women, but the article highlighted their veiny feet. the little girls sometimes die of infection (I'm talking Africa)... now that is truly barbaric, I believe I misspoke on that earlier. A male circumcision performed under anaesthetic and hygienic conditions is completely different. I can accept why some parents would elect to do it to a male child under the right conditions but female circumcision is done solely because they believe the female will be more promiscuous without it.
