one seed, 2 stems??

Hi still kind of new here, just started my first grow its going to be out doors but right now they are still seedlings so i have them inside due to the weather they all have their first 4 sets of leaves. One of the seeds i started has 2 stems coming up from the same seed and look pretty healthy. Is this this common? Is it just genetics of some strains? Any feed back would be appreciated, thanks.

i guess its like a siamese twin plant.....what i would do is research cloning since your new at this and then just cut one of them when there about like 5-8 inches....that way you dont have two plants confined to one pot.....what im curious about is if they'll be the same sex or not.....just get like one of those clear plastic file containers cut 2 square air holes on each side and then just put like a couple of cfl's right on the lid...then all you gotta do is just put a thin layer of water on the bottom and fill up a spray bottle and just spray inside it a couple of times a day for about a week, after a week if the stem isn't drooping the root development defenitely took

can you put up a pic? i'd like to see this. ive heard of 2 plants from 1 seed but never seen it. are the stems connected or is it 2 plants?

It looks like 2 plants not connected. I am just using my phone right now because I don't have internet at my pad, does anyone know how to post pics from a windows 7 phone?

ya I was wondering that also about the sex of the plant or if it was female it would have double yield possibly? I plan on transplanting to their final homes tomorrow, im using 8 gallon buckets should I go bigger? I'll try what you said with the spray bottle but from what it looks both sides look healthy.

I planted 3 different strains and 2 of them took off after about 48 hours the last one was the 2 headed plant and I didn't think it was going to pop but it finally did after 5 days im guessing because it was trying to push out 2 plants but I don't know.

this has happened to me before with seeds from that mexican cartel brickweed aka "regs" more then once too. i just split them up and they did fine. ive also had this happen from transplanting seedlings and leaving some root matieral behind. accidental root cloning lol

There was an "Ask Ed" column in cannabis culture that dealt with this. Ed said he'd never seen it before, and wanted pics and more info from anyone who had the same thing happen.

Its not normal but its common.. If you want to keep it alive, chop the other part of the plant, because all it will do is steal the nutrients from the other plant and if you don't do this soon, they will both die.

I would treat the whole thing like one plant...I mean they are exact copies of one another...so they are the same plant...it just happens sometimes..don't cut it off or anything, just let it grow and treat it like a branch...it will most likely grow like one.

even at 2 weeks old? Is there anything to add to the soil that could make up for this so that both got enough nutes?

that's what I've been doing, wasn't planning on cutting anything off...may just be because it's my first grow but im already very attached to my plants I don't wanna fuck with them im just going to let them grow and let nature take its course.
