One seed. Two sprouts??

soaked and germed a single L.A. Woman seed 72 hours ago ... started breaking ground yeterday ... today .. well it seems as though i have twins. OR a serious fucking eye problem.
Two sprouts from one seed. I've heard of this being possible and some things that may have caused it but anyone have any suggestions what to do??? let them grow?? Do they share the same root system?? I've heard one can kill the other so should i take measures now??? and last.. can i take this sprout and transplant it into another cup and get two for the price of one???

Can u seperate them and use one as the mother?

that's one of my questions in the post. whether i can separate them or not. also will post pics for sure in an hour or so but from the way it looks on made it thought the seed casing the other is pushing up with the seed casing as a normal plant would sprout

One will be big and strong and one will be a tiny little wimp. I've seen these a few times and theres always one that's more dominant if you keep them together and you WILL eventually kill one because it's so worthless.

and i'm wondering... is one already draining energy from the other at this stage.. I know its early.. another thing that worries me. do i let one kill the other or do i risk pulling one out and possibly destroying the root of the other since they are so new

That's a good question. I just chop the head off the smaller one as early as possible. It's going to die and thus it's roots will die and you don't want a lot of dead rotted roots in your grow. I don't think I would pull it out as I think damage to the other small roots might be a problem. I didn't notice that it slowed the other plant down at all, it's currently in my flowering room and it's certainly not a dwarf so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Just carefully separate the runt and grow it in a separate container. I've seen grows with jack the ripper, which has twins quite often, and the runt turns out to be the keeper.

I should have pics up by now but i have company coming over.. as i'm looking at it.. it seems as though both sprouts are connected to the same root system. maybe this will look different overtime but peering down into the crack in the soil.. that's what it looks like..WHICH ALSO MAKES ME WONDER.. did the root get too much light during germinating in soil.. i tried to make the soil as fluffy as possible leading to possible light getting iunder the top layer

For now, leave it be. Eventually one will be the clearly dominant plant. I actually forgot about mine for a long time, it was a worthless little thing buried under the stronger plant. The stronger plant will ultaimately block the smaller one. I just left it alive as it didn't seem to be hurting the other plant and I figured dead roots wouldn't be cool if I killed the plant.
