Only 1 Year In Jail For 200+ Plants! Lmao

Was looking up NY law regarding growing weed, and found this article where this guy was busted multiple times, and only got a year in jail for 200+ plants. Holy shit! And they only caught him cuz of some loose pigs, and the second time was a follow up after he got out of jail, where he kept growing(dumbass)

Apparently growing millions of dollars worth of weed is only punishable by up to a year in jail if you live in NY

Funny really. If it was Texas or something he'd get life. :-)

Sounds like you think they went light on him, maybe you'd be happier if they threw the book at him and he got 'life' like you suggested. The loose pigs part was funny though. Are you sure you're not a cop or married to one?

Also, I agree it is a crime on humanity to put people in jail for a plant. Simply saying I am shocked this guy was growing hundreds of plants and only got a year in jail. Amazing. If he succeeded he'd have millions of dollars worth of weed!

I hope so. I know a guy who grows tons of plants a year, then drives it all into the city and sells it all for about 150k CASH to a dealer.

$1,000,000 worth of weed at the street price of $15 a gram would be 147lbs. You'd need at least 300 pounds of wet bud to get 147 dry. That's a little more than a few ounces a plant out of 250 plants.
