if i am doing a fem grow on CFLs, do i only go with the 6500k blue spectrum bulbs for veg (i am thinking 2- 24 inch daylights on the top with 2- 26 watt CFLs on both sides). should do 2 plants well, knowing they are females, i hope. but all the sudden i started wondering if i should use a couple red 2500k 13 watt CFLs , one on either side with the blue ones. should i throw these in during the veg, or should i just go with all four blue ones and no red?

4 26w bulbs at 6500k for veg is much better than 2 13w 2700k and 2 26w 6500k... IMO... More watts, more appropiate spectrum... But if you can, throw them in all in there!:eyesmoke:

thats what i meant, basically. i already have the 4 26 watt blue ones , but should i add a smaller red one on each side or just keep it all blue? does the plant want both or would it prefer to just have all blue during the veg ? and what the flower stage, should it be all red or should i keep a blue bulb in there with the red?

um, BUMP, i guess.... going to buy the rest of my bulbs in the next few days so i need to know what i am doing. running 80% blue/20% red to VEG and then switching to 80% red/20% blue for FLOWERING? or just 100% blue to VEG and 100% red for FLOWERING? thanks guys

yeah mixing spectrum's never hurts especially since the sun produces all of them at once, personally i've got 9 26w 65k's and 3 26w 27k, i only started adding more 27k's cuz i'm about to put em to flower but they keep getting bigger so had to add lumens for the meantime
