My 2 big girls (blue afghani) are doing great and very healthy but still not flowering fully I expect to see hair clusters in the next few days but still it's end of August.

Going to build small tarp roofs for them just don't want to take any chances with fall rains I have had issues with slight bud rot in the past .

I plan on using 8 ft bamboo stakes cemented in small buckets with clear poly for the roofs just to help keep them dry this fall .
This strain needs about 55 days to flower so

Last few years I have been getting my clones online locally alot of ethos stuff but this blue afghani is easy to grow and no issues with pm at all

Hope everyone is doing good !

Guys I’m starting to have a slight issue with powdery mildew. Nothing crazy but it’s showing up. What can I do for this? I have about 5-6 weeks left.

*****SEPTEMBER UPDATE

well I am about 4 years into growing and I have learned alot and still learning this site has always been my go to for help and learning and thanks to all the long time users/posters.

Couldn't be happier this year my plants are extremely healthy and a great size I have 4 plants going still 3 of them are at about the same stage of flowering and 1 is about halfway through

Weather has been awesome this year but I am prepared with poly shelter and ventilation

I have my fans going 24/7 along the back fence .
Estimated yield this year for the 4 plants is about
6 to 8 pounds hopefully!
Smell is just starring now on the big girls

Absolutely no PM on any plants this year yahooo
I will post more photos once the branches start dropping!

I have never grown this strain before although I hear it's a great beginner strain and the buds are grouped very tight together good signs!

2 big plants -blue aghnai (sticky fingers edition)
Smaller in ground plant -candyland
Potted plant- ice cream cake

Approx 7 months old !
Looks like we're on track so far for mid October

Plants are doing great I have my portable shelters setup for fall rain now I just take the tops on/off as I need and they were cheap also have smaller USB fans mounted to the tops ...all this might be overkill but I don't want to take any chances lost 15% due to bud rot last season so .

Hope everyone is doing good finally one month until harvest!

SW Ontario here. The tall one sprouted on its own out of the soil early July, and outgrew the Spoetnik that had been pre-grown indoors. They are in the same 200 gallon container filled with ProMix HP and fed water soluble fertilizers.

EDIT: for the zoom-in shots, the plants with the purple calyx's are the Spoetnik #1 and the other one is a mystery Island Sweet Skunk hybrid that sprouted after a previous fem seed run ProMix was re-purposed.

On the bright side = you got free seeds for next year.

With the exception of next Thursday temps are going to be in the high teens, low 20’s and sunny where I am. I’m looking to harvest around the 15-20th. Had a tiny bit of PM about 3 weeks ago but it’s gone now.

Checking in from southern niagara, just got back from 6 days in Nashville.

My big girl got throttled by the rain storm last week.

The Ethos I have in pots managed to survive without any damage

The ones in the ground 20221001_074348.jpg20221001_074354.jpg20221001_074511.jpg
Going to try and tie up the smallnone so it can finish out

Some bud shots of the potted ethos that are looking almost done 20221001_074338.jpg20221001_074238.jpg20221001_074215.jpg

I threw the kitchen sink at them this year and started them inside back in Jan..

I made thousands of gallons of organic soil mix this year, using several bales of pro-mix, several bales of straight peat, native soil, lots of different composts, from mushroom to sea composts, Gaia Green 4-4-4, 2-8-4, oyster shells, epsom salt, tons of bunny poop, worm casting, sheep manure, pig manure, chicken manure.. Alfalfa pellets, Kelp and some Molasses.. If they want for any food, Im not sure what it would be at this point, they got the 5 star buffet.

Edit: And Bokashi along with Bat Guano and Greensand, Eggshell Powder that will break down later and a few other things Im sure I forgot to mention.

Needles to say my wife is not too thrilled with me this year..
Dude those look incredible. That trim jail sentence will be a long one!!!!
