Hey, so I have a hermie, one half of the topped plant is growing male bits the other half of the topped plant is growing female bits...

whats the best course of action? do I chop it or let it go through its lifecycle and self-fertilize?

anyone have experience with hermie-seeds? is there any use for this one?

Ok... So.... If you have a hermi, you can make female seeds, IF you have other females. Hermi Self pollinated seeds will have a hermi progeny(seeds)

What you need to do is fertilize the OTHER females with the Hermi. Now you will have 90% female seeds.

Hey bro, bummer, been there. How far are u into flower? Any pics? Ya the boy half will grow out of all your buds now, I bet. If it's not your only plant I would seperate it if your going to grow it out. Not so sure about the seeds it would produce cause there is like 50/50 on here that will attest to those new seeds having a hermie trait?? You will still get some bud but it will be seedy and light since the plant will be makin seeds instead of thick bud. If it's into flower for a while you could always make hash out of it.

Is this really true? I have always thought hermie pollen creates hermies. I know thats not how the breeders make female seeds. Any links or other people comments?

The smoke, if you get to grow her out to ripening, then it would be fine just less potent since the plant will opt to produce seeds instead of mass thc

Cool keep some pix up in your journal or album so we can check it out. Always wanted to grow one out but guess I like the hash better....

hermis make hermis i had purple #1 and i grew it out by its self and had it pollinate its self and grew the seeds out all hermis i did have a coule of normal plants but when flowering the leaves started to twist like light stress but i know that there wasn't any i don't think you should grow it cut or spend 3 hours pulling off nuts on your plant that will work but it adds to your time with your plants.

using hemi plants for breeding will result in hemi offspring its a very bad idea
however
using, the pollen from a female that has been forced to grow male flowers, or pollen from a female that has produced some narnas at the end of full maturity is a different story these fem seeds can be perfectly ok

i have grown out a fair few s1 generation plants, resulting from self pollination at the end of the flower cycle, these plants were healthy almost clones of the original
if the s1 generation of fems go on to seed themselves this becomes an s2 generation, this generation is at risk of hems too

peace :)

guys i'd love to post photos but i just don't have camera available... i've said it before i'll say it again.

the plants been supercropped and topped and has loads of colas and it seems a good 50% of the plant is male and the other half is female, am only seeing the male pods on the upper top, i don't mind chopping those off... i've got loads of seeds and its all good, thought maybe the hermie seeds were going to feminized is all... as proven otherwise already lol

why is it that the male pods have this wonderful peppery smell to them? hmm, i think i'm going to keep them and grind them into a pulp when its done, just take the whole thing and grind it and eat it...
