Swamp plot almost ready, 15 gallon smart pots. Mixture of promIx, extra perlite, bat guano, alfalfa meal, blood and bone meal, rock dust, chicken manure and worm casting. Taking a page from getawaymountain and gonna water with only seaweed juice all season. Just started brewing a batch

Most folks will remember Tom Petty before they do David Farragut. But Farragut was a Northern Rear Admiral during the Civil War. He ran a mine field in Mobile Bay, saying "Damn the Torpedoes", {as mines were then called}. Tom Petty is that singer from a One Story Town.

Shoot thats a nice gh/outdoor harvest. Is it fully swoll, nope. But its better then waiting for a full season harvest. Congrats on the harvest.

Gonna setup DEs for next winter, i dont think it was the cold or reused soil as much as it was the lighting and hours of sun.

I'm glad it's early yet in the season. Today I scrapped my grow and started over. My seedlings just weren't growing, and that was totally my fault. I had them in Kellogg Raised Bed potting mix, and everything I planted in that has been struggling, I lost several veggie seedlings as well.

Sorry to hear you had to replant Bro. I tried some Kelloggs Patio plus for some veggies this year and they have basically stalled growing. I had done this as a test to just see if it could grow a simple pepper plant. I do this with most of my potting soils before I grow in them. I'll be using what i grew in last year which was Dr Earth Pot of Gold. Hope your new mix works for ya.

Excellent knowledge of Civil War Naval history right there. So that's where that saying came from, I stand informed and corrected now. Cool. :grin:

just finishing up winter indoor stuff, little table of greenthumb stuff I love the docs stuff.well old thumps is going to be have a legal rec grow,LEGAL for the first time got a 20 x30 gh going to be running 12 -18 plants I will now strains soon still playing with that happy growing everybody :bigjoint:

Yeah, it sucks, but live and learn I guess. I've seen how well seed plants take to coco coir, so I'm pretty confident this mix will do well.

I think the main problem is that Kellogg mixes are too heavy and compact too much. There is a brand called Master Nursery, Kellogg makes a couple of their mixes that are very different from Kellogg branded mixes, much lighter and fluffier.

If you use a mix like that you need to just amend it heavily. Adding peet/coco, perlite worm castings, compost, oyster shell flour etc... It compacts way to much on its own for cannabis like you said. But it is usable as an ingredient to building soil.

The light mix you have now will need feeding and more watering but they will for sure do better.

She's taking her time . I thought she would be done by now but she looks almost there. Glad you got her to this point without pests or disease getting to the big girl

I know i need to give my plants 2 weeks longer than if out in full sun due to the only recieving about 3/4 of maximum sunlight.
I work hard as fuck to keep them up to what i call A grade standard to smoke for the next 8 mths or so....i have an improvement to make in the off season to see at least an extra hour sun on the girls which you will see next season.
My area is built on stealth before anything else so i gotta take the negatives and work the best i can

Your area looks great. Only can imagine if your plants got full sunlight how much more weight they would have. What strains do you have in mind for the area next season ?
